Too many events or turns written for the show out of pure coiencidence and convenience. That hasn't been confirmed by anyone, it's pure speculation.

When would we know? The upfronts?
It would be so funny if Fox puts something like an episode of the (maybe) final season of American Idol. LOL

 Re: The Following
Claire gets the MVP in Stupid Award for last night's episode. First she tries to escape the mansion with Joey by...trying to walk out the front gate? Because that'd be so easy and all.
And then she got into that hilarious catfight with Emma.
lol. This show. I love you.

At least, they are getting closer. It looks Roderick is seeing the writing on the wall and is going to rebel. Not sure what his plan is.

 Re: The Following
I wished Emma and Claire punching each other out would have gone on forever!
(Didn't they say that no one could touch/hurt Claire? I like how they forget the rules they established)
Also.... Footloose-era Ryan Hardy killing someone by forcing them to OD on heroin... haha!

Gotta love this show. "She's clean" followed shortly by the same woman jumping on the FBI guy and stabbing him with what looked like a hair pin or something while all the police had turned their backs

 Re: The Following
Roderick had his swan song, but I have to say he was very stupid. Things are falling apart for Joe, and his place is looking like their could be a mass suicide coming. And oh, I was wondering when someone was going to lose an eye that rumor was reported in EW, so I was waiting for it.

 Re: The Following
What was the point of Claire stabbing Joe but not seriously enough to actually hurt him? You had one chance and you blew it! Get it together, girl.
Joe has become like the worst character on the show. How can a serial killer cult leader be so painfully boring? I laughed out loud at his angrily typing his crappy, crappy murder fiction on his typewriter like a moody preteen girl.
But the FBI actually showed signs of competence in this episode. Progress!

 Re: The Following
I hate Emma, she better die next week. Jacob was stupid though, should have ran a long time ago. Poor Parker, hopefully they find her before she dies. Being buried alive is horrible. Also, that whole gym sequence was very gory.

 Re: The Following
Also, after the FBI actually showed competence in the previous episode, the characters reverted back to their usual idiot selves in this episode. I didn't even feel bad for Parker getting kidnapped and buried alive because she had the stupidity to search ALONE for cult members in a dark corner of that random building. But at the same time, a character getting buried alive and screaming endlessly is deeply unpleasant so of course I hope she gets rescued.
And Claire's attempts to escape are just getting annoying. I appreciate the effort and all, but come on, lady. Stab him in the HEAD or something, stop trying to vaguely injure him in a non-life threatening way.
Another thought: Joe watching Ryan's sex tape repeatedly is like the creepiest thing I've ever seen on TV. WTF?
This shit really is getting more and more ridiculous with each passing episode. No idea what season 2 is gonna be like at this rate. Just turn it into a full-on sitcom and be done with it.

 Re: The Following
I find it funny (and fitting for this show) that people were advised to leave their homes and huddle in a rec center as a means to be safe from a killer cult on the loose (of which members could be anyone in the neighborhood.........) and said rec center did not have any background or weapons check. LOL WTF. Those people in there deserved to be killed/eyeballed out.

 Re: The Following
Damn of course they end on a cliffhanger. It looks like Joe is dead (at least I hope he is), but damn they keep Emma alive for another season. I knew Molly was still out there. Poor Parker, that was a sad moment, although I was glad Ryan shot that guy in the head. I guess we will have to wait to see what happens to Claire and Ryan next season.

 Re: The Following
I don't really trust the show's claim that Joe is dead based on "dental records." As much as I think we would all like that annoying asshat off our TV screens forever, I feel like it's going to turn out he used that random dude he killed in the cabin as some sort of escape into the shadows or something.
Poor Annie Parisse always ends up dead and buried in trunks/coffins/etc. She's a good actress, I wish this show had given her something to do other than making poor judgment calls and following Kevin Bacon around. But they should've left her character alive and killed off stupid Emma instead. She mentioned a sister but so maybe they can make it a twin and have her come back.
The cliffhanger was...y'know, what it was. Saw it coming the second they emphasized Stabby Neighbor in the previouslies. It's gonna be a long 9 months for Ryan and Claire to lie there all stabbed and stuff before we know what happened to 'em! I'm waiting with not particularly bated breath.
I think the question is...can season 2 actually become even more incompetent and illogical than this one was?

 Re: The Following
Yeah Annie Parisse, always seems to get killed. She was in Person of Interest a while back and got blown up. I would rather it they kill off Joe and bring in a new villain. They could use Emma (I hate to say that) as a beginning, she will want revenge and could go to some other serial killer type to try to fulfill that. I was glad Mike didn't turn out to be a mole as some were suggesting, and also survived. After Bacon, he was my second favorite character on the show.

She's gonna be a hot mess the next season. I second all the Annie Parisse sentiments. She always gets spectacularly killed. Anyone noticed Joe's demise (or not) was more like Fall of the House of Usher? They really haven't let go of the Poe references.

Maybe next season Emma will take over as The Big Bad and become obsessed with Ayn Rand literature.

 Re: The Following
Well, I watched all the episodes between this past Friday and Saturday straight and I liked it overall. The little boy is quite empty headed. He seemed to always go back to the cult people. Also, in the middle of my marathon all this death and killing was getting a bit over the top. There's one thing when it's 24 (which this felt like) and they are killing terrorists, but it's another when you got citizens getting killed left and right each episode. Jacob wasn't very smart in revealing his intentions to Emma. The girl is die hard. Left you for dead. Don't trust her. Emma is a real demon. I do hope Joe is dead because I just can't stand hearing Purefoy anymore. I think he's done all he can but now he's just so annoying to listen to when he babbles. Finally, I look forward to a season 2.

I watched every episode of this and enjoyed it but I had forgotten completely that it was a show until promotion started recently, lol. I'll check out season 2 for sure though.
