Yeah neither of those shows are anywhere near as good as Wilfred.

Lol, Jay always kills me. I love that the dad from Home Alone always sees him at his wimpiest.

Just watched Three Turkeys.

Does anyone else find Lilly's character incredibly annoying?

I think she has some of the best timing on the show.

 Re: Modern Family
Yeah, Lilly is great. Season 3 Lilly lacked timing, but her snarky attitude has only gotten better.

Not my favorite episode tonight, mostly because "Happy Endings" did the Phil-Jay subplot a thousand times better with the Car Czar.

 Re: Modern Family
Manny has quickly become one of the most insufferable characters on television so needless to say I hated his storyline with Luke last night.
The rest of the cast continues to be great.

 Re: Modern Family
Rough start. Very serial for it. I just the semi new format fits. Jay of course, and surprisingly Mitchell had some great laughs. Everyone else seemed like the season has yet to start.
I mean Andy had more lines than Phil. And Claire disapproving of Dillon is just played

 Re: Modern Family
I'm not sure if I ever bought Hyland and Bowen as mother and daughter, but once they cut their hair, boom. They look exactly alike. I wonder why they didn't do that sooner.

 Re: Modern Family
This show needs to end. This season has been ghastly, and Manny has become the most insufferable character on television.

 Re: Modern Family
This might be the first season where I feel my personal investment in it is fading. I'm not even sure if they'll go much beyond this season if they do. Ratings are the strongest of all its comedies, but I imagine the cast and their salaries are big.

 Re: Modern Family
Last season was enjoyable with the Adam Devine arc for Haley. This year has been SO bad. All the jokes are beyond tired and the characters annoy me now.
Like last night's Dalton Trumbo gag. What?

 Re: Modern Family
I think the show has suffered by not letting the characters evolve at all. We get the same jokes, or variations on the same jokes, but it's all the same. Luke and Manny are still the dummy and the snobby child, but they're older and should have matured. I can't look at a magazine without seeing more of Ariel Winter with less clothing, but they still play up Alex to be the Lisa Simpson pre-teen know-it-all from Season 1. Haley had the best storyline going with Adam DeVine, but that seems to be gone for now.
Of course the main characters have not changed either. It's time to wrap it up. I wonder if they'll pull an Office and reveal who's been filming them or just not bother. Half the time, they don't even bother pretending like the show is a documentary anymore. Case in point: Cam chasing someone down with the old Batman theme playing over the scene.

 Re: Modern Family
I just realized that Mitchell and Cam literally never touch each other. It's kind of ridiculous how little affection they show each other.

 Re: Modern Family
I think they've kissed once, maybe twice, in the history of the show.
Though I think they did embrace last week?

 Re: Modern Family
I think the show is just on auto-pilot this season. At least in the last few seasons, they tried to change things up (the most noteworthy storyline was Haley and Andy). But this season, everything is monotonous. And everyone looks like they're too old to still be doing the same tired shtick.

 Re: Modern Family
Phil and Jay are the only reliable ones for jokes now. Haley once in a while. The Luke and Manny schemes are awful, and what the hell is Alex still doing there? She's had Mono for the entire season (They missed a real opportunity with some freshness since pretty much her entire arch has always been about getting into college. It worked great with Haley cause her getting kicked out led to good stories. They could have really branched out, which this show desperately needs)
They should shake things up and have like Jay have a heart attack. The heartfelt parts of the show are sorely missing now too.
