Looking (Season 1)
Anyone else planning on checking this out? Word is good and it looks pretty good. I love Jonathan Groff too. I'll definitely be watching.

I am. I've heard great things and it looks great. And the director of the fantastic Weekend directed some episodes.

Very solid first episode. Jonathan Groff is really likable here, I feel so bad for him. I loved his date and how he talked about cruising the night before.

I thought the pilot was solid but not AMAZING. It has a lot of potential, though. And Jonathan Groff is just so adorable.

The pilot was great but not as excellent as Girls. Jonathan Groff was excellent though.

I hear, similar to the main characters, the ratings for this blow.

They weren't that bad. Girls aired before it with 0.799 million viewers and this had 0.701 million viewers. I hope it stays steady.

That's not right. Looking had like 330,000 viewers.

That is pretty bad. Hopefully it picks up steam and DVR/on demand/repeat numbers are strong.

second episode did better than the first (and Girls) so things are looking good! I'm liking the show so far.

I got it from Futon Critic. I'm assuming they maybe combined encore episodes that night?
They have 0.70 for the first episode and 0.83 for the second.

It's a bit boring. Also whenever the title appears I see Loo King.

Re: Looking (Season 1)
The episode a few weeks ago where it was just Groff and he boyfriend was fantastic. The one last week was pretty good too. But the episodes inbetween the first and those episodes were so slow. If it stays the way it is now I'll be happy.

I'm enjoying the show too. Other than the Agustin character, who is the worst thing that's ever happened to television. Gurl bye.

Season 2 has been good so far. Patrick is a dunce though. Sleeping with your boss with a boyfriend, like that's gonna end well.

Re: Looking (Season 1)
I hope it ends well. I love Pevin (Patrick and Kevin ). And Kevin is sexy as hell. Love the accent. He probably shouldn't have slept with him though because Kevin is not going to want to buy the cow if he can milk it for free .
Anyway, I didn't catch Season 1 until it came out on DVD. It took some time to get going but the second half was really good.

Re: Looking (Season 1)
I watched all of season 1 last night since I was looking for something new to binge and the movie conclusion airs next weekend on HBO, so figured it would be a good time to catch up as I dropped this after the pilot. Really solid first season - Jonathan Groff is great. I'm definitely team Patrick/Richie though - the episode where it was solely focused on them (I think it was episode 5) was incredible.

I wish Season 2 would hit DVD so I could watch it. Only saw the Season 2 premiere.

Re: Looking (Season 1)
I finished the entire series yesterday. Kevin and Patrick have great chemistry but Kevin is a prick. If Richie/Patrick don't get together in the movie I'll be very disappointed. This scene was so sad:

Re: Looking (Season 1)
By the way, it's a shame that this show was so underwatched when it was on the air as Jonathan Groff was incredible and award-worthy, IMO. Also great were Russell Tovey and Raul Castillo.
The bottle episodes like both of the ones primarily focused on Richie/Patrick, the one with Doris's dad dying and the finale with the Patrick/Kevin fight were all fantastic.
I'm actually really excited for the movie as I grew to love a lot of these characters in such a short span of episodes.

Eh, I wouldn't count on that happening. The ratings were really, really bad and I think that if a DVD release hasn't been announced yet one isn't coming.
The entire series is on their streaming site though. Just get an HBO NOW trial membership and cancel after a month if you don't want to pay the fee.
