20 people is awful. 16 was bad enough, because you need at least 6 or 8 to go before the game really becomes interesting. I don't want more people in this game. And if a few are going immediately, that is rather pointless, but as far as I can tell, Loyal is only speculating.

Yeah for Chris! He deserved it!

The new locale seems interesting with the crashed planes and wreakage over the island. I really like the new logo as well. Hopefully some very unique people were selected for the new show. Also, hopefully no cheesy gimmicks are used.

Survivor is still the best reality show out there, not cheesily cutting to commercials during an intense scene. I hate that when other shows do that because it throws off the mood of the scene.

I still wonder how long Survivor will go. My guess is at least 3 more seasons.

Ah, I wanted Scout to win, then Twila, but Chris is better than Eliza, so I guess I should be happy. I'm very surprised Ami voted for Twila, though.

My guess is that it'll last 4 more seasons, but if the ratings keep up, then who knows.

4 more seasons? Where does that logic come from? Survivor can be a show to last a long time with good ratings. Mind you, Jeff Probst probably won't be on forever, but it's not like Survivor can get old. Many game shows are on for decades, and they only change the format every few years. What makes Survivor different? As long as ratings are good, it will be on TV.

I just threw a number out there. I agree that if the ratings keep up, it'll stay on awhile.

What the show needs is for someone to go crazy and either hurt his or her self or someone else. That would pull in great numbers (unless Mark and CBC decide to shelve it...yeah right).

Well, I never really thought of it being on for decades like The Price is Right or something. I just think it will really lose steam or become cheesy like the other reality shows. I hope it doesn't and I hope that you are very right.

Look at The Real World. That has been on for years. Although, if Mark Burnett's idea of keeping Survivor fresh is making the number of contestants 20, then he's dreaming. That's way too many to keep track of.

i think survivor will be rock solid for another year. there are a lot of people that hooked to the show.

epilogue for survivor vanuatu:

Jeff Probst has a "Survivor" girlfriend: Julie from "Vanuatu"
Although Julie denied rumors of a relationship last week, Probst confirmed to People magazine he's dating the 24-year-old youth mentor, who is 19 years his junior. In at least one episode, Julie was seen sporting a self-made heart tattoo inscribed with the name "Jeff." But Probst says there's no conflict because the relationship began -- over e-mail -- after filming was finished. "Nobody is more surprised than me," he says.
