McKay cracked me up- 'would you shoot an upside down unarmed man!??'
I think Atlantis is off to a stronger start than last year. I just didn't like all the set up with Teyla's people in the beginning. McKay is the best character on SG:A, and to think I didn't much like him in his episodes of SG1.
Sadly we are approaching the end of Vala's arc on SG1, she's made these first three episodes very entertainig. Then we get to see Sam back again. It will be interesting to see where her character goes in S9.

I think Atlantis is getting stronger this season!
not sure about stargate. I love the new characters but its seems like they are dragging the stories out too much- while they wait for sam to get back... hopefully it will pick up then!
this weeks Atlantis LOL!! funniest episode to date.
A fine performance by David Hewlett! hehehehe!
and really liking ronan- he's sooo layedback- what a guy!

Considering the way her character has been the past few seasons, I'm hoping it doesn't slow down with her re-introduction. I'm perfectly happy with the way things are now, well perhaps with a little bit more subdued Vala. Too much of her can definitely be a bad thing.
Stargate SG1's "The Ties That Bind" was a very different episode from the three part introductory arc that started the season, but it was just as enjoyable. I really liked all the Cameron/Daniel interaction this episode as well as the Cameron/Teal'c interaction. What I didn't like was the budget meeting and the revelation of a watchdog. I can handle politics of SGC in an episode or two per season, but to have it interspersed in many episodes could definitely slow the pace of the show.

yeah... too much sgc poltics and too much jaffa poltics- but I'm glad it was absent this time!
was a good ep. vala is still funny!- but they seemed to be rubbing it in your face a bit this week- i.e. too obviuos humour. loved the scene in daniels room where she tried to get him into bed though... classic!- Michael shanks made it work so well. his reactions are great.
I'd like to see slightly more cam now, and slightly less of the daniel and vala show. also teal'c was a bit absent. its all good though

Agreed. Stargate: Atlantis was a really enjoyable episode for the most part. The Mckay part. I didn't much care for Ronan it was just so out of place, compared to the comedy of McKay/Corbin. Much like SG1's politics/trading thing they had going this past episode.

Huzzah for depressing episodes of Stargate SG1. The Powers That Be was another fine episode, but a bit of a downer. Looks like the Tau'ri are screwed when it comes to dealing with the Ori, which always makes for interesting television

I liked Beachhead well enough, it was a nice episode for the reintroduction of Carter, and a good departure from Vala who was wearing a bit thin. The FX were the best of the year in Beachhead, that SuperGate was really cool looking - I hope to see it's reappearance. The Ori just get seemingly more invincible with each passing week, sucks to be the Tau'ri right about now.

Atlantis was quite cool again!
Liking it a lot this season!
Without spoiling it too much- McKay makes a 'small' mistake.... and ends up destroying a lot. nice one... hopefully it should bring his ego down a little... probably not though... good ol' rodney.
shepherd, weir and zelenker are all pretty mad at him!

stargate was cool! I'm usually quite bored with 'the trust' stories.. but was fin with baal and the jaffa... how are they gonna cover up an entire building dissapearing??
when sam said she wasn't exactly single was she alluding to the fact that she and jack have finally got it together... or was she fed up of agent barrat asking her out??
cool ep... yay for many baals!

I thought that was the worst SG1 episode of the year. Boring aside from Teal'c and Gerak's political talks. Hate the trust, hate the broken team, and hate the indecisiveness of the writers with regards to Carter's soap operatic personal life.

hahaha!
it is very annoying that the writers try and please everyone though.... the fans, the airforce.. they should just write what they want.
They always listen to fans on the net aswell, and they are the ones with the strongest opinions I think, i.e some people feel sick at the very idea of sam and jack being an item... some people long for it with all their heart- but like I said can't please everyone.

They should know they can't please everyone, as they have been doing that since Divide and Conquer in S4 and just make a stupid decision.
