Post Shows you've wanted to watch but haven't gotten the chance
I bet all of us here have at least a handful of shows (currently on the air or not) that we've been interested in but have never gotten the chance to start watching due to lack of time, no DVD's to catch up with yet, the show being too far into its run, etc.

At the beginning of the summer, I wanted to dive into either Six Feet Under or The Sopranos and ended up choosing the former (a great choice that has kept me thoroughly entertained throughout the summer). Me doing the same with every show on my list is unlikely, but nonetheless:

The Sopranos
The most talked-about show in recent memory and one of the most critically-hailed is one that I've only seen snippets of (some of my family are fans of the show). From what I've read, it's still got at least one more season in it, so I've still got time to catch up.

Deadwood
My next catch-up choice (after Six Feet Under runs its course later this month) is between The Sopranos and this (HBO intrigues me, as you can see). Again, I've only seen snippets, but I've heard great things, and it only having run through two seasons so far bodes better for it than The Sopranos.

Nip/Tuck
The one episode I saw of it was great, and all this "She's really a man!" nonsense seems really intriuging, but again, I never stayed with it when I had the chance.

Entourage
I saw my first episode of it a couple weeks ago (the one where they go to Sundance). Didn't think it was that great, but it was only my first episode, and I've heard it's one of TV's best comedies.

CSI
The most popular show on TV, and believe it or not, I've never seen an episode of it. Not quite as high on my list as The Sopranos, Deadwood, etc. (and I don't even know if I'd be into catching up on DVD), but it does interest me.

The Wire
Not the most popular show, but I commonly hear it hailed as one of TV's most underrated, and even Entertainment Weekly called it the best show on TV.

Others:

Two and a Half Men
Veronica Mars
Rescue Me
Monk
Oz
The Shield
The Closer

Yours?

I caught episodes recently of Firefly and Veronica Mars. Neither really grabbed me.

DH and Scrubs are next in line.

Ah, yes. Add Curb Your Enthusiasm to my list.

I've seen a handful of episodes but only from season two on up.

Me it would be Lost. Though I've seen around 3 or 4 episodes of it and I absolutely love the show, work schedule always conflicted with the show and I've missed so much of it. It's a pity too because the show was awesome.

Deadwood is the only show I regret not seeing yet. There's others I want to see, but it's not a necessity.

Me too. I watched Season 2 without watching Season 1 and LOVED it. Then I watched Season 1 and was blown away. There is one episode, forgot the name, with the death of a certain somebody, which I think is one of the BEST hours of television in history. Accompanied by "Rocket Man" by Elton John, it's one of the most moving scenes I have ever seen on T.V.

As for me....

I don't have HBO, so I've always wanted to but never got the chance to watch...

The Sopranos
Six Feet Under
I didn't have too much interest in Curb Your Enthusiasm, but I heard it was a riot, so I'd love to check it out!
Entourage

Other than that... I really don't think there are any shows I regret not watching. I can stand to watch alot of different types of shows, but I know quick enough which ones I will fall in love with and so, I know I wouldn't like any of those Law and Order, CSI and other police/detective shows.

There was Arrested Devlopment, but I already rented Season 1 on DVD and am watching the Season 2 Friday marathons!

Actually, there is one.... The Shield, the season with Glen Close. the show doesn't seem too interesting to me, but with Glenn Close, it looked intriguing. I missed the first week of the premier and its repeats, so I gave up!

The Shield is such a great show, you should give it a chance. It so NOT like other cop shows. It has seasonal arcs, and the character development is great.

And about Curb You Enthusiasm - it's one of the worst shows I've ever seen. :xena:

I really want to see 24. I've seen bits and pieces of it, but not a whole episode. From what I saw though, it looks great. Firefly is another one I've seen a bit of, but never a full episode. I'll have to catch a couple before I see Serenity.

The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Deadwood, The Shield, Entourage, and Lost. As you can probably tell, I don't have HBO or Showtime so those shows are out, and I just haven't gotten into TS or Lost, btu I want to. My library actually has a couple season's of The Sopranos, so I might check that out.

I just rented two DVD's of Season 1 of The Sopranos. I'll start watching them tonight.
