13. "George Lopez" (ABC) - 3.6/5
I was flipping through channels last night when I got a call, so the TV was left tuned in to this show. I watched about 2 minutes before I turned it off. AWFUL! Glad to see the ratings aren't good, because it seemed like wasted space.

It was a crossover episode with SVU, it was basically just a two hour block.

I saw an episode once where George finds out his daughter's "boyfriend" is actually gay? It was one of the worst sitcoms I've seen...ever. Looks like it is heading for cancellation soon.

Although it would be pretty darn risky to bring in all new comedies, I think ABC has been holding on to some of these sitcomes for a bit too long and it's really draining them.
If ABC can start a hit out of at least 2 sitcomes and have the other ones around it benefit even a little, I think it could start to copete every night of the week with other networks.
George Lopez has to go
My Wife and Kids aint doing too good.
8 Simple Rules has really sunk in the ratings
Even newby Jake in Progress is progressing downward
According to Jim seems to be the only barely decent rated show out of all of them.
Actually Rodney is doing okay too.
Where's Rodney in Tuesdays' ratings btw???

Both George Lopez and My Wife and Kids were performing similarly around this time.
They usually average at least around 10 million viewers from September-January.
Still, I'd rather see them keep Less than Perfect and 8 Simple Rules, instead of According to Jim, My Wife & Kids and George Lopez (and the awful Rodney too).

What's the highest rating that House received so far?
BOO ABC and it's comedies. They're not helping the net at all despite Lost and Desperate Housewives.
As of May 1st, season-to-date average viewers:
CBS 12.83 million (13.32 million from week 4/25 to 5/1)
ABC 10.09 million (9.34 last week)
Fox 9.91 (10.06 last week! 2nd place in average total viewers last week)
NBC 9.09 (9.83 last week. Pathetic. And everyone thought Fox or ABC would be in 4th)
(from LA Times)
