I don't know how, but somehow, I knew the first post would be, "GO FAMILY GUY!" or something like that.

Jon, it's the 350th (or 351st, but oh well) episode of the Simpsons, not the 300th.
Good for FOX, they're finally back on Sundays. I hope this holds up next week. The Simpsons ratings are funny because the 2nd new episode scored more viewers than the much-hyped milestone episode.

Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives are both doing incredible numbers. Great for both shows.

Great for Family Guy, but I really do wish Fox would put Family Guy in Simpsons time slot instead, its really stupid they're putting it up against Desperate Housewives, it wouldve done so much better if it got the 8:00 or 8:30 slot.

Theres plenty of 18-30 year olds who enjoy Desperate Housewives.

Yeah, but they're mostly women. Family Guy goes after young men and teenage boys.

Yes but people who are forced to watch shows together or only have 1 tv set end up suffering.

Fox have oficially aknowledged Desperate Housewives as an obliterator of everything in its timeslot; but they have ALSO said that Family Guy goes for...family guys.
There are a LOT of guys who watch DH though; i recall the figure of 42% of the audience
And it hasn't made a dent in DH's viewership.

Which just goes to show that the demographics are different. Anyway, they gotta put it on somewhere, and Sunday's at 9 is a perfect slot. Not only does it pair up well with The Simpsons and American Dad, but viewership in general is extremly high on Sundays (especially around 9 and 10pm).

If estimates hold, that is an amazing Sunday.
Basically, they're saying around 66 million viewers tuned in between the hour 9-10??
Funny how even though FOX and CBS showcased pretty high rated offerings, Desperate Housewives got its second highest viewers ever!! I think this episode hurt them though.... it was pretty weak and uneventful compared to the rest, especially for being of the "last 4 episodes" So this means we have 2 more episodes till the finale.
If next week actually builds on this week, I will be IMPRESSED.
More than the finale, I can't wait for the season 2 premiere for this.
It looks like Anatomy will go for 8-9 straight weeks of fresh episodes. Awesome!
Family Guy did amazing and I really think it's gonna hold above 9-10 million viewers for the remained of its May run. Amyone know how long the "season 4" will run??

I have to agree, I wish they'd bump Family Guy up half an hour to 8:30 instead of a Simpson re-run, so then I could watch both it and Desperate Housewives, instead of just DH's last half hour.
