Caught up on this. I actually still like this show a lot even though I know that it's gone through a fair share of backlash this season. The chemistry between Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie is still aces and makes the show work as well as it does. Where they need to fix things are the entire character of Katrina (I don't care about her marital problems with Ichabod and hate her in general because she's so useless) and to get rid of that annoying as fuck Indiana Jones wannabe recurring character they introduced this year. I HATE him and always am tempted to fast forward through his scenes.

The show is missing John Noble right now. He is easily the best actor in the cast and has stolen every scene he has been in. I am guessing he will come back though.

I'm enjoying this season so far. Shannyn Sossamon is hilarious as the new Big Bad.

I watched the crossover episode last night with "Bones" and while this show's portion was a fun episode good lord is "Bones" awful. How has that been on 11 seasons? The writing is so dreadful and the acting is painful. Emily Deschanel in particular is an awful actress.

So, um, this series just killed off its female lead. Apparently for real and for good.

I just watched the episode and yeah, it's bullshit. Even if it gets another season I may be done. The relationship between Ichabod and Abbie and the chemistry between Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie is what makes the show. All of the other actors on it are terrible and their characters are uninteresting. I hope to god Nikki Reed isn't a series regular next year because Betsy Ross is worse than Katrina and she is a dreadful actress.

Beharie has apparently had a lot of issues with the creative team though, particularly after the showrunner change at the beginning of season 2. She felt her character was being sidelined/used to prop up Ichabod, and there are also small signs something was up (the official series Twitter account didn't even follow her, to the point where she tweeted at them asking why).
