Debuting on FX in mid-September, this historical action drama is created by Kurt Sutter (The Shield, Sons of Anarchy) and stars, among others, Lee Jones, Brían F. O'Byrne, Katey Sagal, and True Blood's Stephen Moyer.

I highly enjoy this series. It has a very hard, intense, Gladiator-indebted, masculinity-and-combat-writ-large quality. It goes for the pulp-fiction jugular, and I find it gripping. I also love Moyer and Flora Spencer-Longhurst's performances.
