I would be shocked if this pulls in even mediocre numbers. This has crash-and-burn written all over it.

I watched the first hour so far. I am deeply conflicted. There was too much I liked to say I won't keep watching, but there are equal or greater reasons why this is a huge fail. Tim Kring basically spits in the face of anyone who hated the original Heroes (sans Season 1) by committing all the same horrible crimes of the series' later days. He doesn't know what works about Heroes. He simply throws so much shit at the screen, letting what works stick there but doesn't cut what drags the entire series down. There is eerie graffiti spelling out "Where Are The Heroes?" but... are they heroes if so many have powers? And most of the heroes (they're called Evos now... is that carried over from the original series?) just sulk about their "powers".

And I really don't think the show should have included so many original characters. I'm not really a fan of Noah but he should have been the only holdover.

I was about to give the show props for creating a rich, vibrant setting with that character... until they switched it to insanely bad animation. What was that? It looked absolutely awful. If you're going to pull a bizarre switch to animation like that, it better be above-average.

I kind of like Zach Levi as a villain though. He's more menacing when he talks. I pictured him being too silly to be intimidating, but he's good.

And I like the parallels to real life. The Evos convention at the start felt like a gay allegory, perhaps too much so, but the show isn't known for subtlety. Then later, Noah calls a guy a "truther", which feels clunky by comparison.
