What are your "ground floor" shows?
With binging such a regular part of TV watching now, which of your favorite shows did you catch right from the beginning and have been with every week since? Either watching the pilot as it aired, or shortly after?
For me the only ones I can think of are Lost and Once Upon A Time. Homeland would've been on the list if I didn't stop watching in S3, in fact I watched the leaked pilot weeks before it aired on TV and was raving about it before anyone here. Heroes is in that category as well I think, I caught from the first episode after this forum was really excited about it, but never made it past the 2nd season

Re: What are your "ground floor" shows?
None, when I think of it.
"Lost" comes closest. I started watching it, the day it started airing here, but it was already wrapping up its first season in the US, so after 5-6 episodes I just d/l'ed all episodes that have aired thus far and starting with S2 I was watching wekk-to-week.
"Heroes" also comes close, but I quit that in Season 4.

Re: What are your "ground floor" shows?
A lot, but surprisingly a lot of my favorites I caught up on later. "30 Rock," "Friday Night Lights," "Friends," "Breaking Bad," "The Good Wife," "Veronica Mars," "Buffy," "Grey's Anatomy," "Desperate Housewives," "The Office" and a few others were ones I started after a few episodes or a season or two and caught up with DVDs or streaming.
I was definitely with "Lost" and "The O.C." from the beginning. I still remember watching the pilots for both live.
Other favorites I definitely watched from the beginning that have had more than a season:
"Happy Endings" "Parks and Recreation" "The Mindy Project" "New Girl" "Homeland" "Modern Family" "Parenthood" "Shameless"

I always need a little buzz to accrue before I start watching a TV series.

Re: What are your "ground floor" shows?
Do you mean shows that must be watched the week they air? Currently, The Walking Dead is the only one, although I will often let three or four episodes gather up and then I'll watch them at once.

none
Heroes came closest, watched every week until I could not take it anymore halfway through the final season.

The only ones that I almost did that with is Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars lol. Both got really tiresome that I haven't finished the last seasons yet but I probably will. I feel like the only show that I watched from premiere to finale every week last season was Fresh Off the Boat.

Re: What are your "ground floor" shows?
Off hand:
Entourage Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (I was a fan of the TV movies before it went into a series) Xena: Warrior Princess (Not really fair as it followed Hercules) Boy Meets World Psych Suits Hung
I'm sure there are a few others. But a lot of shows now I usually DVR. I think Psych was and the Walking Dead are the only recent shows that I would sit and watch at their regular airings, but I had to binge watch the first four seasons for The Walking Dead. Before that I was in heaven with Sunday night HBO with Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, True Blood, and Hung. I always watched them when they were on.

I was with X-Files from the beginning. It was cool reading about it's slow ascent in the ratings in Entertainment Weekly. It was a Sunday staple until work hours got in the way. I also got into Seinfeld either early in it's first or second season and watched that continuously to the end.

Re: What are your "ground floor" shows?
Thrones and Archer are the longest running current shows for me. Most of favorites have only run one or two seasons though. Actually Sunny is the only big one that comes to mind where I wasn't all in right from the start.
