Post About a Boy (NBC, Season 1)

It is another movie-to-TV series adaptation and it helps that it's from the creator of Friday Night Lights and Parenthood.

There is no secret that the lead, David Walton has been in cancelled sitcoms back-to-back but I've read reviews that this is a very good sitcom. I hope this can get to a 2nd season. The previews have appealed to me very much.

It premieres this Saturday after the Olympics and airs in its regular time on Tuesdays after "The Voice".

I just saw a preview of the pilot and it was the best comedy pilot of the season. I'm not exaggerating: This was the best comedy pilot since "Happy Endings". Minnie Driver played Fiona well. The writing was just well-written especially the chemistry between Will and Marcus.

Verdict: I am sure this will get very good ratings!

I saw the pilot about 5-6 months ago and loved it, so I'll be tuning in.

The pilot did not do much for me. It plays as a greatest-hits-compilation version of the film minus the heart and humanity.

And the main character here just registers as a horn-dog douche rather than the charming and sympathetic, if troubled cad Hugh Grant created onscreen.

The pilot was just OK. I have major faith in Jason Katims after Friday Night Lights and Parenthood, though, so I'll keep tuning in for now.

Got a 2.2 rating last night which isn't too bad considering the Olympics only had a 2.7.

I love the film. Would have checked this out with a lead that's actually good. Really don't care for the star of the show.

This is a really good series. I think it's only going to get better. All of the episodes since the pilot have been good-to-great.

It's...fine? I think Jason Katims needs an hour long format to flesh out the characters and the world. I'm skeptical that this has legs although I LOVE LESLIE BIBB KEEP HER AROUND PLEASE

I love this show. Leslie Bibb was absolutely hilarious in the last episode and I hope she keeps recurring.

Adrianne Palicki starts next week!

Another great episode last night. Loved seeing Crosby from "Parenthood"! I'm really liking the chemistry between all the actors here too.

Also, just realized that all of Jason Katims's shows recently take place in the same overall universe, which makes me happy.

Tony Hale's casting last night was perfect and his guest spot was hilarious.

Really, really charmed by this show. I hope a season 2 is announced soon.

Tony Hale was so great as Marcus' father last night. I love him on Veep and Arrested Development. I hope he'll come back for some more episodes.

Minnie Driver trying to flirt last night was hilarious. She's great on this series.

The finale was so, so sweet. The ending made me tear up :P Adrianne Palicki needs to be a regular. Love her and Will together.

So glad this got renewed!

NBC did the right thing to renew it. Sam has became my favorite on the show.

It's a shame no one watches this. The Christmas episode was so charming.

Minnie Driver was hilariously awkward last night.

"Don't bring the dessert. I'm the dessert"

And Marcus is like one of three child characters on TV right now that I love and don't find annoying.
