"Selfie" (Season 1)
This series (a modern day adaptation of My Fair Lady) doesn't premiere until September 30th but it has been made available online early on Hulu and ABC.com.
I thought this pilot was absolutely hysterical and charming. I watched it earlier this summer and have since watched it about three times. Karen Gillan, John Cho and the supporting cast are all aces and the writing is surprisingly clever (it comes from the creator of "Suburgatory"). Can't wait for it to start.

Re: "Selfie" (Season 1)
The title is horrible. I don't want to be caught dead watching a show named Selfie.
Yeah they really needed to change that title. If it somehow lasted more than three weeks, it will have an obsolete title. It would be like watching the upcoming 7th season of a show called "I Need A Little MySpace".
... actually that doesn't sound so bad.

Re: "Selfie" (Season 1)
Well they can't change the title now. Though if it lasts they'll regret it. Like the creators of Cougar Town.
I want to see it. LOVE Karen Gillan. And it doesn't have bad reviews so far. Currently it has 3 fresh and 1 rotten on Rotten Tomatoes. Not a terrible start.
It might be too caustic for its own good, but Selfie, led by the marvelous Karen Gillan, skewers the social media generation with more wit and panache than its on-the-nose title would suggest. - Isaac Feldberg, We Got This Covered
I thought the first half of the pilot was awful. It perks up a bit but I don't love obvious humor. Skewering the social media generation is easy. But Karen Gillan and John Cho were likable leads.

This show is hilarious! I was dying laughing at last night's episode. Karen Gillan is a star.
I hope ABC gives it a chance like they did with "Trophy Wife" and "The Goldbergs" last season and gives it a full season order.

Gillan and Cho's chemistry is just perfect on this show.
Too bad this hour of programming on ABC is doing so bad in the ratings.

More people need to be watching this show. It seems to be universally agreed upon that it's already gotten a lot better than the pilot:

Last night's episodes were adorable. Really rooting for this show to make it.
David Harewood is also surprisingly hilarious on this as well.

Re: "Selfie" (Season 1)
This show is so fucking adorable. Tonight's episode was so sweet. I love Karen Gillan and John Cho so much, they have such sensational chemistry. It's a shame that the 13 episodes wrapped before ABC ordered more so there's no way there will be a conclusion
Ugh I wish this show could still be renewed. I've seen a lot of backlash over the cancellation online.

Re: "Selfie" (Season 1)
In a perfect world Karen Gillan would be waking up to a Golden Globe nomination for this show tomorrow.
I wonder if they filmed the episodes knowing they were going to be cancelled because they've really been diving headfirst into the Eliza/Henry romance. Gillan and Cho have such perfect chemistry and this show is really blossoming into something special because of it. The scene in the most recent episode (that premiered on Hulu yesterday) with Eliza singing "Chandelier" and the subsequent little montage that followed was honestly heartbreaking.
Only three episodes left I hope we get some kind of closure.

Watched two episodes tonight - couldn't bring myself to watch the last one yet
Karen Gillan is so, so charming on this show. I hope she gets another comedic starring role soon.

Re: "Selfie" (Season 1)
Just watched the last episode. It was a good episode on its own but I hate that it was the end. While it did end on a hopeful note there was still so much potential here that will sadly never be seen through.
