Movies that could make for good TV series
MTV supposedly has the rights to a Scream TV series but haven't heard anything in a while. Meanwhile, Bates Motel and Hannibal are currently airing and The Avengers is getting a spin-off TV series next Fall on ABC.
What are some other movies that could make for solid long-form TV series?

Since we won't get another movie I wouldn't mind a Dredd TV series. Though I'd certainly prefer a sequel.

I'd love to see Mulholland Drive come back as a TV series, especially considering that was it's original form. Whomever got Watts' role would have a lot to live up to though.

Only as long as there is a lesbian sex scene every week.
The Millenium Series (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and its sequels) would actually make for an AWESOME TV series.
Sky High (yes, that Disney flick with Danielle Panabaker) would have made a really good series. Surprised it hasn't happened actually.

Gangs of New York is going to be a TV series. Beverly Hills Cop is likely going to picked up by CBS as well. Syfy is turning Legion into a series. Lincoln Lawyer was also in development as a series but haven't heard anything in a long time.
Men in Black would make a perfect live-action series (it already was an animated show). Underworld as well. Gattaca and In Time would work as series.

Saw would work too. Could see it happening if they decide to not reboot for a while.

Re: Movies that could make for good TV series
Since horror is quite popular on TV right now:
I Know What You Did Last Summer - The film had hints of weirdness in the fishing town in which it took place that could be explored further through a series. Too bad JLH is busy with that other series because she would have been awesome to bring back for this one.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - If they decide not to proceed with the sequel to the latest film, there is more than enough in the film's storyline to make for a good TV series. The producer called it "Horror's version of the Hatfields and McCoys."
Urban Legend - They could do it as an anthology series like "Tales from the Crypt" or tie it more directly to the movie series.

Urban Legend would be a cool one. I like the idea of it being an anthology series.

Re: Movies that could make for good TV series
Wanted or Salt could probably work as series, as could an Expendables series (You could probably get people like Michael Beihn, Adrien Paul, even Lundgren or Van Damme, and Seagal who are all dabbling in TV now

Here's a link to the Legally Blonde pilot from ten years ago. I tried watching it once but had to stop out of secondhand embarrassment http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xstbhj ... W8RwitARFU

None, because TV series' are always watered down and drawn out. Films rule.

Buffy TV series = PERFECTION Buffy movie = SHIT
So no. Also a shitload of excellent series would disagree. There's no way GOT would be done this awesome as a movie (or series of movies), etc...

Re: Movies that could make for good TV series
You know what, a show about the Matrix could be cool. Maybe something more about Morpheus and Trinity in the beginning or even completely unrelated to the movies. Could be a mix of Lost/Prison break
