It seems like AA and LATINX was petty bad compared to early vote, so they both ended up weak compared to 2012.

Trump would have torn Sanders apart, painting him as an ineffectual career politician while scare-quoting the word "socialism" until people were picturing dead bodies along the Berlin Wall. Maybe the Democrats needed a person who did not run. Julián Castro? Joe Biden?

Where is Xiayun? He said it was going to be over in an hour! How I wish it would have.

I think he meant the US as a Republic, and I think he nailed it.

The Canada immigration site has crashed.

This thread overtook Lecter's "Well, shit" and "Would you rather" threads, and I think we can all agree that that's basically a good thing.

I guess it makes sense most vote out of self-interest, just didn't expect so many to have thought that aligned with Trump and the Republican Party.

So Trump doesn't want a minimum wage, yet everywhere it was on the ballot it overwhelming passed. Does not compute.

It totally makes sense. Actually, it is the ONLY thing that makes sense. Why you vote to help someone else? It doesn't make any sense. You only vote to help someone else when it also helps you.

Yes, I totally agree with that part too, just more surprised with that second part of my sentence.

All the polls are closed. I really need to sleep. Such a mess.

So I will just say this here. My wife is originally from Bolivia. She is a US citizen and has been for years. Recently, people have come up to her and said, "Go back to Mexico." This is the angst of people. The person didn't care she was a US citizen and didn't care that Bolivia is not Mexico.

So it's looking like a 309-229 victory for Trump.
