The special counsel Weiss they put on Hunter was the same guy that tried to give him sweetheart plea deal and got it shot down, so some right wingers are claiming this is cause the DOJ is trying to give the Bidens a soft investigator on them (and in the meantime it blocks house investigation into Biden), otoh Weiss is a Republican, so maybe he shouldn't be written off immediately as on the side of the Bidens, and you'd think if the DOJ wanted a special counsel that wasn't going to look into the Bidens they could've gone with someone more left wing.

Weiss was out there by Trump himself.

Mark Meadows has filed to have his charges moved to the federal court system. It is pretty obvious right now that Meadows is working with Jack Smith and has worked out a deal.

According to the indictment it's a felony conspiracy to:

- Tweet "Georgia hearings on @OANN. Amazing!"
- Reserve a room in Georgia state building
- Send a text asking for the number of PA legislature leader so Trump can talk with him

According to this logic, you could also look at an indictment for running a child trafficking ring and cherry pick bits of its to say, “oh what is it illegal to pay an employee? What is it illegal to have a meeting?”

I think this might be their first actual point. We’ll see what the prosecution says, but the federal workers at least, especially Meadows, have a point.

I think it was. Peaked around late 90s - early 2000s before interventionalism, neocolonialism, liberal agenda and financial bubbles killed it.

It was such a high that even though it's decreased somewhat it's still the greatest and most powerful country in the world, and by a large margin.

You could argue for some other countries like Canadas and Swedens that have different strengths and weaknesses, but the US has clearly been somewhere in the top group with all the other first world ones, I mean compare it to the messes in South America, Africa, Middle East, etc. or functional but asshoe countries like Russia and China, and you're definitely better off with the US.

US is great, but has so much potential to be better.
