With all due respect...I'm not exactly feeling sympathetic for this victimization you have placed upon yourself. It's not about you. It's about the sweeping changes that this country needs in how police respond to incidents with people of color.

While you're bemoaning about how you feel intimidated about not being able to express your views on the Internet (which...who exactly is stopping you, anyway?), maybe try to reflect on how black people are afraid to go out in public and do anything while the police are called on them for no reason at all.

Alex, Libs is too far gone do not bother with her.

Black people are only afraid of cops because they are told to be. The media props up every instance of even potential police injustice and tries to paint all police this way. When as a matter of fact, unless you live in a poor area of a major city, a black Person will rarely come into contact with police, let alone have them “called on them for nothing”.

Too far gone into...what, exactly? Arguing for justice and civil rights? Do you not realize how callous and heartless this is making you all sound?

And do you really want me to list the HUNDREDS of examples of black people having cops called on them for...running? Shopping? Dining? Going to the park? Walking their dogs? Because I can.

Don't make me feel like I'm taking crazy pills here. Paging Flava'd.

Is the issue here people being shot by police or having cops called on them period?

Having cops called on you is the fault of the caller, not the police. There are many racists in America who call the police for bad reasons but that doesn’t reflect badly on the cops which is the whole conversation concerning Chauvin and Floyd. Floyd is not some random guy who had the cops called on him when he “din du nuffin” and was subsequently murdered in cold blood.

Post Re: Black Lives Matter
I have sympathy for the middle class black man who gets told by the cops to get out of the car and spread him while doing nothing wrong, however his situation is completely different than someone dying while committing a crime and resisting arrest. Black criminals should not be seen as representatives of the rest of the black community. As a tweet I saw said, George Floyd is treated as more of a hero than Ben Carson... how is this healthy? If they really wanted to help the black community there is so many more things they could do than increasing hatred/fear towards cops and decreasing their presence, both of which is only going to get more black people killed. But the goal has really never been to help the black community, it's more that fear of being called racist is an intimidation tactic to make people too afraid to stand up to their radical socialist plans.

Agree about no sympathy for self-imposed victimhood, which is more about an individual changing their state of mind, which many don’t realize they have control over. I am gradually accepting that 5e increased loss of freedom of expression is not worth being upset about.

Any thoughts regarding the shooting of the stabber girl?

Clearly justified and the cop saved someone's life, it's a self-parody if they're going to claim police should let teenage girls knife each other.

There was a guy in North Carolina that sounds like it could be worse, but I don't believe a video is out yet.

I think police should be trained to incapacitate without lethal force in a situation like that, however, from the police' POV, the stabber girl was clearly out of line and she put herself at risk of being shot at with her behavior.

It's more the slippery slope, today is liveable, if the end point is the rest of the first world models themselves after China, it won't be as nice. Especially considering deciding to be China might not work without their population's personality type. So I support people doing everything they can to fight back now while they can.

It was clearly a chaotic situation so the results of what happened there are a bit less egregious to me than something like George Floyd.

That said, I don't understand why there wasn't more of an effort at deescalating the situation before shots were fired. On first impression, it seemed reactionary and unnecessary. And there were 4 shots fired...why? Ma'Khia Bryant was a child, after all. It's a terribly tragic situation.

I would need to see more footage and understand more about the details to make a thorough judgment, though.

In the future I am predicting there will be no police because no one will want the job. Even COMPLETELY JUSTIFIED shootings are turned into BLM martyrs and have the group calling for their death.

On the list of real reasons why Ma'Khia Bryant is dead, the cop who shot her to prevent her from stabbing someone is not at the top of the list. The better question is what environmental factors leads a 16 year old to try to stab someone or what would lead a 13 year old Adam Toledo to be running around shooting guns at cars instead of doing what 13 year olds should be doing. Such as most likely bad parenting or presumably poverty.

What if the stabber was acting in “self defense” on her own property? The attempted stabbing occurred on the driveway sidewalk, is that still considered within private property? Perhaps she may have been within her rights to stand her ground and stab the girl in pink “legally”.

Trying to make more sense of the situation, particularly since we see the father(?) stomp another girl's head. If it turns out to be true that the stabber was the one calling 911, and if she's not lying about two females were trying to stab her and her grandma first; then would the stand your ground law allow her to legally stab them if they were on her property? Not sure if the same applies to knives as with guns, but I believe stand your ground allows property owner to shoot trespasser also holding gun even if their back is turned, along as long as it occurs on your property.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/columbus-pol ... dy-cameras

Quote:
The first 911 call came in at 4:32 p.m. The caller, who has not been identified by police, said amid a commotion in the background, "[indistinguishable]...trying to fight us, trying to stab us, trying to put their hands on our grandma. Get here now."

Ma'Khia Bryant's mother, Paula Bryant, told 10TV that her daughter called 911 herself because people were threatening her. The Columbus Police Department did not identify the caller and deferred to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, who told Fox News they cannot share that information right now.

There's definitely still questions, about who were the other people present and what where they doing there, that would be interesting to get answers on.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but Ryan Coogler, director of Black Panther and Creed, was escorted out of a bank in handcuffs for trying to withdraw money from his own account.

Not surprised by this. Does not matter who you are, if you're black shit like this will happen.

Apparently it was because he asked for $12k in cash by passing a note to the bank teller instead of speaking, while having a mask, dark sunglasses and a hat on, and the bank teller thought it was a robbery attempt. I don't think it's as clear cut as 'he walked in the bank, they called the cops for no reason'.

He had his bank card and ID with him. You'd think that would be enough to not call the cops.

Do bank robbers usually ask for a specific amount of cash?
