They've called Wisconsin for the GOP. That's 49 seats for the republicans and 48 for the democrats with Arizona, Nevada and Georgia remaining.

It will be interesting to see if Tshibaka unseats Murkowski in Alaska

God I hate donald Trump and all his cultists they ruin everything for the Republican party. He needs to go away and never come back. He's delusional if he thinks he'll win in 2024

Better than expected for dems but still results in a gridlocked congress that will do absolutely nothing until Trump comes back.

Ron is going to be heavily protected from DT by the establishment. It is undeniable now. The donors and moneymen live in reality and know he is beyond toxic in the swing areas of swing states. DeSantis guarantees Florida. Whether he likes it or not, Ron DeSantis is about to be "drafted" to take down Trump just as Biden was drafted to take down Bernie.

Trump should officially be persona non grata in GOP circles, even though it is years too late.

All elections need to be run like floridas where we have results and 99% of ballots counted in an hour after polls close.

This bs in Arizona and Nevada is unacceptable

AZ and NV are deserts full of people who talk to other humans twice a decade. They need mail in ballots.

Florida has mail in ballots.

Arizona already counted most of their mail in ballots anyway.

If Pennsylvania had been closer it would be the same way right now

Arizona still has over 400,000 ballots that need their 3 step verification before they can begin being counted. (Some, 25,000(?) I think I saw, have been verified today, but not tabulated for reporting yet.) Many mail-in ballots are dropped off ON election day, too, and that creates a huge backlog due to their ultra-manual counting procedures.

Election workers can't even pick up ballots until 7pm, much less begin the counting process, verifying every signature, and THEN only after bipartisan teams separate the ballot from the envelops (and count those too to ensure they match the ballot count) can they tabulated the results... A lot of manpower is involved.

Not being able to do ANY of this until after 7pm is the big problem. If they could pick up the ballots beforehand and just sort them to begin the signature verification and envelope/ballot separation process, it'd go a long way.

Democrats are prematurely celebrating the ousting of "NRA Barbie" from CO 3. The remaining precincts are heavily Republican areas of the district though so Boebert will likely pull through

IT's bizarre that such a moderate district backs a big Trumper like her. Most other freedom caucus members are in deep red districts

Comical to see people on social media complaining about both the Arizona elections being "rigged" and also complaining that their vote counting process is to thorough! :funny:

Anywhere from 49 to 52 seats for Republicans still looks legitimately possible.

Boebert race has been a rollercoaster, I thought she was dead multiple times, but now leads by like 40 votes

Literally no reason they can't count the votes in 2 days. please explain this to me

The Colorado 3 republicans need to primary Boebert in 2024 if she wins but they probably won't

So, have these mid-terms effectively killed the Donald Trump 2024 resurgence?

Yeah but Democrats are leading in one on the remaining races and won but with a minority of the overall vote in another (meaning a runoff vote) so more likely than not, the Senate will remain at 50-50 with the Democrats getting the tie breaking vote due to having the White House. I’d say there is a 60% chance the Dems keep the Senate

My best guess is that Kelly will fairly easily take Arizona, Cortez Masto ekes out a win in Nevada, and Warnock wins the runoff next month, making the Senate 51-49.

But I won't be shocked if Nevada goes the other way and control is up in the air based on the Georgia runoff just like last time. But I'm not expecting Walker to perform as well in the runoff.

Kelly should be safe for AZ, Warnock should win the runoff fairly easily, who knows with Nevada. At worst it will be 50/50 again (actual 50/50 because Sinema/Manchin would vote on party lines because the House is R now so they won't get blowback)

(but Sinema is fucked in 2024, Ruben Gallego is going to stomp her)

Republicans could easily win the Georgia runoff if they decided it was important to them that Republicans controlled the senate, as a Republican just easily won there by 7%. But Republicans in Georgia seem less partisan and more likely to not vote/flip for the Dems.

Kelly will probably win the Senate race but at least Lake will probably win Governor. Nevada is harder to tell. I’d say if possible that they could also split Governor/senate as Lombardo is out performing Laxalt

The Michigan Governor race is as pathetic as the PA one. The DNC knew what they were doing donating to Tudors campaign.
