I thought it was a very good speech and got the right points. I didn't bother to watch much of Daniels. he seemed very boring and very pessimistic.

I also don't think Obama was saying any lies more just saying what he wants to see happen.

Revolution (it doesn't have to be violent) aka voting them all out. I've concluded that they could care less about the people and only want to line the pockets of the lobbying corporations that back em. The people have realized we are being screwed (SOPA /PIPA) and are waking up. To many years to late. We need to remove these fuckers and replace them with a new set of politicians that are not corrupt yet, and have those politicians pass anti lobbying laws (before they are corrupted), and have them remove nasty laws like the patriot act that remove U.S. citizen liberties. Power corrupts and we the people have not reined in these liars, but we still can.

Re: State of the Union Discussion
revolution would be violent, especially in this country, millions could die. And as I said it be hard to vote them out because who would you replace them with? You can't replace them with nobody. There are only two parties really. You would need people to run to vote which just won't happen. I do think we need changes. We need a constitutional amendment for campaign fiancee reform. The money is the problem and why there is so much partisanship in this country.

We need a constitutional amendment for campaign fiancee reform. The money is the problem and why there is so much partisanship in this country. We can replace them with "anybody", thats what the office was supposed to be, a public service (very small pay), but that has changed over the decades. The two parties could care less about liberty and there are a lot more than two parties in this country. Anyone looking to help/fix the U.S. can and will run. On top of your suggestion an amendment on the term limits of those in congress should also be put in place, I think just like the president those in congress should not have more than two terms.

Re: State of the Union Discussion
Its not his personality but his style I do not like. He is a smart and funny person and displays strong leadership when it comes to foreign policy.
Its that he always gives these speeches and we all fall for it every time. Like seriously, Obama speeches are pretty good however many past presidents gave great speeches and not from 100 years ago but from 20-30 years ago. For example, Reagan gave great speeches with his folksy style and Clinton was sort of the same.
So, I think few are looking forward to 4 more years of Barrack Obama. I think many are let down by Obama's Presidency. Nevertheless, I think most people would rather have Obama around then Gingrich or Romney.

Re: State of the Union Discussion
honestly, I think most presidents of the past were awful at speeches. Jefferson was one of the worst speakers of his era. He hated public speaking and never did any speeches throughout his whole presidencies. Probably the best orators of the 19th century were Lincoln and the two Adams. Since we are in an age of television the president has got to be a great speaker and Obama fits in with the more recent style. Presidents like Jefferson and Washington would never be president today because they would have trouble talking on camera.

I don't care who the president is, I dislike the SotU. Fucking clapping is the worst.
