Who's Embarrassed For Cheering On Obama Like a Trained Seal
During the elections, I recall many people rolling over on command and staunchly supporting Obama, claiming he was going to do this and do that because he made a campaign promise to. I swear, it's like some people have either never followed an election before, or they have, but don't catch on quick. How do the Obama supporters here rate his performance, and are you bitter for anything he played you like a fiddle about to get your vote?

I supported Obama, but only because I hated McCain and the kind of politics he represents. I don't like most of Obama has accomplished, but I'm equally as impressed that he was able to pull through three gynormous pieces of legislation through (stymulus, health care reform & financial reform) - even though I think all three of those will have an huge negative impact on American economy.

Re: Who's Embarrassed For Cheering On Obama Like a Trained Seal
I should probably state my position, too. I support the President and hope he does well, but like President Bush before him, his policies don't effect my life at all. I kinda get a kick out of people who think the President owes them a living. Everybody owes it to themselves to set up their lives and financial well being, and if you're truly relying on government, you're just setting yourself up for frustration and disappointment. Take care of your own business and goverment really becomes a minor detail. On another note, have any of the Obama supporters who blamed George Bush for high gas prices come up with any excuses for why gas prices are still at the same level?

I want to thank Mav and Krem for posting this as finally my negative viewpoints on Obama are endorsed. And Lol to the cowards of KJ, especially chicken sht Groucho, who never answered any of my questions on Obama (Not sure if Groucho is too stupid to realize the bad job Obama has done or he knows he would lose to me on an Obama debate?) And to Krem, why are you giving credit to Obama for passing things that will become negatives. I thought at the time they were poorly thought/planned out and rushed through with lots of missing necessities. So that is why I never gave Obama credit for those things, as I realized they were bad from the start. PS. Did you spell stimulus wrong above?

I give him credit for those things, because they are enormous accomplishments. You will see a lot of Democrats complain about Obama for not doing enough of what he promised, but in reality he did a ton more than I expected him to. You should be able to separate your support for a particular measure from understanding how difficult it was to pass it.
P.S. yes I did.

I was and always will be a Hillary guy. She would have gotten what Obama wanted to get done with a much steadier hand. I sincerely hopes he brings her on as VP in 2012. She's his only chance for re-election.

Re: Who's Embarrassed For Cheering On Obama Like a Trained Seal
And I am generally a Democrat and have donated to the DNC, Obama, and Clinton campaigns in the past. When they called up last week asking for more money though, I said hell no. My main issue is really the environment and Obama and the rest of Democrat controlled Congress simply did not make Comprehensive Climate Change Bill a priority. It played 4th fiddle to health care, financial reform etc. and now that they failed to pass a bill we won't get another chance for YEARS after the Republicans break the Democrats control in November. What a shame

P.S. yes I did. well did he pass it...or did he basically blackmail, threaten, sell-out and browbeat those who opposed them to get them to pass.

Re: Who's Embarrassed For Cheering On Obama Like a Trained Seal
Krem. Here is a perfect example.. Reading today how much of a mess the mortgage program is. As the dropout rate is about 50 %. Why? Because it was forced through too quickly without much thought.
Banks are complaining that they were forced to short cut normal procedures, including early verification of peoples income.
Why? Because Obama wanted a good sign up number to tout?!
And people are complaining banks are losing and not processing paperwork.
Why? Maybe because they were rushed/forced into this before they were ready with info and people.
* So are you going to give Obama for passing this sorry mess?

I could've predicted this outcome when the program was started. It has nothing to do with Obama, really; it's just the unintended consequences of government giveaways.

Comparing Obama to a seal is racist.

Maybe if rich people payed taxes, then this wouldn't cost as much.
