The results of the Washington Post/ABC News poll are a reversal of what voters said at the start of Obama's presidency 18 months ago when about 60 percent expressed confidence in his decision making. Confidence in Obama is at a new low but the poll found that his numbers are still higher than lawmakers of either major party four months ahead of the November congressional elections. ......article continues..... |

The majority is never right. Never, I tell you! That’s one of these lies in society that no free and intelligent man can help rebelling against. Who are the people that make up the biggest proportion of the population—the intelligent ones or the fools? I think we can agree it’s the fools, no matter where you go in this world, it’s the fools that form the overwhelming majority. |

To elect Obama was not necessarily wrong. I suspect, however, that those who elected him did so for the wrong reasons: Everyone of his voters thought him the best candidate, but not everyone had the right concept of a good candidate. |

Every election, to me, involves choosing the lesser of two evils. No one is perfect, and anyone who follows any politician blindly or thinks everything will be perfect once that person is elected is a fool. I am disappointed in much of what Obama has done, but there is no way I think McCain and Palin would have been better. And compared to Bush, Obama is 150% better. I gave him a 7. |
