Like the thing about the bow in Japan - stupid to complain about? Sure! But not a conspiracy theory. The thing about socialism is a slippery slope type argument, not a conspiracy theory. The EMP thing is just someone being paranoid about a potential type of attack, but how is that a conspiracy theory?

I would say that the only truly bizarre right-wing conspiracy theory of last year was the birther movement.

I disagree that the birther movement was the only bizarre one. Claiming that the census was being done so that Obama could round up his enemies and put them in concentration camps ranks up there with classic right-wing conspiracy theories like "the liberals want to steal our precious bodily fluids."

I would add to the list the stupid right-wingers who believe in a North American Highway and changing from the dollar to the "Amero." There are a ton of those guys, but that conspiracy goes back to Clinton, so not really 2009, though it pops-up every time there is an immigration debate.
