A recent study showed that 3.5% -- that's not a typo -- only 3.5% of High School graduates in Arizona could pass a US citizenship test. There's something very wrong there, although it helps to explain things like Sarah Palin.

How well can you do?

I got a 95% because I missed the question that asked which form I should use for taking my citizenship exam. I don't think that one should count though, so as far as I am concerned, I got a 100%. (Then again, I am a political junkie with degrees in Political Science and Law).

I'm afraid it might get soiled because of all the excitement.

By the way, the real test is not multiple choice.

I love people who are sworn in citizens.

It makes me appreciate America more.

I think its time they introduce monthly tests for Chip with deportation to the Sandwich Island's in the event of failure.

I got 80%

I missed

when the constitution was written
the original 13 states were
the senate doesn't select justices (I think this question is a trick one, the pres selects but the Senate really selects them they just word it as "confirms")
the INS form

I think the problem here is that classes like social studies and government keep getting put on the back burner or glossed over for a intensive focus on more math and science courses. Maybe they aren't even taught anymore. I remember when I was in high school government and social sciences were a semester each. Plus, I think most high school students don't really care about these subjects in school.

I got 75% but I am a Canadian so an knowledge of the American system is not learned from School at all.

Well I misread " In what year was the Constitution written"

I just saw 1776 and went, okay..
I was thinking Declaration of Independence :funny:

I got "Which of the following amendments to the Constitution does NOT address or guarantee voting rights?" Well I never heard of that before...

I misread " 14. Who selects the Supreme Court justices? :"
I thought Senate but however they only accept or reject... :disgust:

Got the Form Question Wrong, How would I know that as a Canadian... :funny:

I would say the average person would easily fail this test.

90%.

Missed the voting amendment question and the INS form question (and I should have known I just filled out a "request for exception" form for a patient...oops).

Most of them I knew without reviewing the multiple choice parts.

Interestingly I made everyone in my office take the UK Citizenship (Life in the UK) test this week so that they could better advise our students what it contains. Every single one of them failed. If i only i could deport them all.
