I watched the whole thing from start to finish, and was very, very impressed. I'm not surprised people at my college are disenfranchised enough to say he's just another puppet: they grew up with the Shrub for president. Still, can anyone deny that the man can talk? It might not be an instant gamechanger, as if those expectations are just, but I really do hope he can heal some wounds. |

It did sound nice......though the man will most likely keept busy in his own country so much that he hasnt time and money to make the big moves outside. |

I saw parts of it during Rachel Maddow last night and I was very impressed. I'm going to have to find the full speech. It's exactyl that kind of rhetoric I wanted after 9/11; that's what's going to prevent another terrorist attack here not war. |

I'm kind of surprised, though I guess I shouldn't be, that no sitting president admitted the role of the US in the 53 Iranian coup, it's not like the event was relegated to Zinn and Chomsky. |

I Admired it. Obama is a superb politician he rides the tides well. His talk on this issue was fair and even handed and overall excellent. The tough part is him trying to make it work. |

Indonesia alone has more Muslims than the Middle East. And remember that neither Turkey nor Iran are Middle Eastern countries; they're transition states. Anyway, as a non-Muslim from the Middle East, I continue to remain invisible... |
