Re: Bush 8 years in 8 minutes
It's not really 8 years in 8 minutes.
It's "Listen to a well spoken man blab on and on about how bad Bush was when you cherry pick situations he was in"

Technically you're correct-it's over 9 minutes. KO gave all the credit to someone on his staff over on Kos, I'll edit the quote in if I find it. EDIT: Here it is Quote: Nobody Likes Kudos Better Than I Do
But I'm passing all these on to my segment producer, Jonathan Larsen, with whom I've worked on and off since we were at CNN in 2001-02. He compiled and wrote this one; I honestly made about four small changes in it.
Monday we go gently after the Torture Prosecution...
Thanks to all, and to all a good night.

Re: Bush 8 years in 8 minutes
Bush's farewell speech was an absolute disaster. I was actually hoping that he could Stay-Classy-San-Diego, but he again pulled the whole "we need to support the troops because they are protecting us from terrorists" bait-and-switch that has grown so tired (and thankfully) obvious over the last 7 years.
He missed a great opportunity to focus his comments on positivity for the future (which is what Obama's sellin' and what people are wanting) even to his own constituents, he could have given the whole "Things are going to get better, but we have to hold on to morality, fiscal responsibility, understanding, Jesus, blah blah blah"at least from a Republican perspective, but that's difficult when your entire party has been focused on division, fear and negativity. He missed an opportunity to bring up the ghost of Regean.
What a failure.

I don't know how practical it is to whore out Reagan's name anymore.
