He hasn't done much, which is probably a good thing right now. He's popular among conservatives, young, and seen as a possible future leader of the Republican Party. It was probably best for the Republican Party that McCain didn't choose him (or best Jindal declined) if all the rumors were true though. I like calling him the male Palin. Young, popular, seen as a possible leader in the Republican Party. Palin though will have a tough time now after what has happened to her in the past 3 months to become that person. I think the same would have happened with Jindal since the Republican Party was doomed this year no matter who was running. So Jindal is still "clean", unlike Palin. |

Republicans think "Hey those democrats, they like women and minorities, so we'll find some and then we'll steal all their votes!" |

Popular governor. Considered a rising star in the Pub party. That's all I know about him pre-wiki. |

Considering how spooky the Reps got this election, if the party doesn't moderate any more, Jindal would be laughed out on race alone. |

well, really the other party takes control if either the incumbent party is weak, or that their party is stronger and more powerful. Imo such conditions will not be possible until 2016 for certain. I am 100% sure by the Republicans will be able to find something majorly wrong with Obama, that would really rally conservatives and moderates. That is why a lot of people are begging Obama to run a centrist govt. Like Clinton got a free pass because he was never very liberal. |

I see red states voting for a third party with a white candidate instead if they were only given an option to either vote for an african american or an indian american |

McCain is a moderate, not saying he was a good candidate, but he is a moderate. Simply because you disagree with someone's politics does not mean they are far outside the mainstream. Outside your group of friends and thoughts, sure, but the mainstream? Doubtful. Kerry lost in 2004, does that mean the Democrats needed to moderate? Obama's election seems to suggest no, as Obama is certainly a bit (not a lot) to the left of Kerry. |

Considering 92% of the GOP approves of Palin, it's not far off, and especially considering some of the rhetoric. |
