Re: Will We Surpass The Lit And Foreign Forums By November?
This forum was kicked off on January 26th. It is now March 5th, so this is its 39th day. Considering the 4202 posts as a currently write this, that is an average of 107.74 per day. It is 271 days until November 31st, 08, considering the influx of posts after the election results. That means we are on pace for 29,197 posts from now until then, and 33,399 overall! Granted between the primaries and the general election things will slow down, but still. Even the Gaming forum might be f.u.c.k.e.d. eventually.

It all depends on whether there are more surprises to talk about. Maybe Todd Palin will get one of McCain's daughters pregnant.

Really the posts here most likely will continue strongly until the 1st few months of the next president's 1st term. It may decrease at that point, but it depends how many people here like to talk politics year round and what kind of changes are enacted by the new president/congress. Nonetheless, the forums with 30K posts are not going to caught imo.

I remember when I first created this subforum way back when and people thought it was a waste of space and wouldn't last. Wasn't it the same way when the Trailer Park and Foreign Film subforums were created? If I remember correctly they used to be a part of Cinemania. But yeah, making it its own subforum at least made me finally sign up and start posting.

Yeah, nicely done. Loyal, you should move some of the older political threads from the Water Cooler into this forum. It would definitely give us the boost we need.
