One of those unconfirmed rumors that apparently everyone knows but no one will confirm.

Condi teared up at Obama's election and talked about how proud and happy she was that he won. Yeah, that's gonna go over well with conservatives!

I would have liked if she had been VP during the 2nd Bush term instead. Unfortunately since she's not married I don't see how she could get elected President.

Yeah, and she's seriously lacking in the charisma department.

I can't imagine anyone, let alone in the GOP, getting overly excited about her.

It mostly shows how clueless the GOP is.

I think she's made it clear she won't be running. Of course, it wouldnt be the first time someone said No to running, and later ended uo doing it, but I believe her.

Besides, the REP will need a new face.

Yeah, that's really important. McCain looked ridiculous calling himself the agent of "change." The GOP needs a new face completely.

She won't run. and she won't win. She worked under Bush, the republicans need a new figure, which is what they are trying to make of Sarah Palin.

Jindal's a religious fanatic. Either the GOP moves to the center or it is the permanent boogeymen-lobbing party. And that's only going to work in diminishing circumstances if they don't get a new boogeyman.

I could defiently see Jindal being to republicans what Obama was to the country.

He wouldnt beat Obama unless Barack really screws up, but he could get the nomination.

Ideally I would like a Eishenhower Republican, however those guys have been long gone to the Democrats.

Charlie Crist??? He would at least take Florida from Obama for sure.

Jindal may be a bit to the right to social values.

However I think he could take the Appalachians away from Obama including NC.

He would really bring out the conservatives.

However if Obama is very popular like FDR, Regan or Clinton there will likely be a joke candidate like Walter Mondale or Bob Dole.

I would say Jindal, Romey and Huckabee are the top three.

huckabee has no shot. romney should have been their nominee this year.

they need to find their own jfk esque candidate. a white guy who does what obama can do, that is what itll take to take down obama.

A Bill Pullman from Independence Day type probably would be their best path.

What!

McCain was their best shot, Romney would have lost badly. McCain could have dominated the independent vote but he had to pick Sarah Palin and go AWOL during the financial crisis.
If McCain picked a better VP, the race would have been 50-49 instead of 52-46 which really means nothing.

No I think Obama is set like Clinton.

Not a chance till 2016 and Imo they would have a great chance.

The problem with Jindal is that he solidifies the Republicans as a southern regional party that appeals only to southern religious conservatives. The only box he breaks out of there is that he's Indian. But Republicans will probably simply use it like they did gender and Palin.

Jindal wont win. Like I said, in order to defeat Obama in 2012 (assuming Obama doesnt totally flop), they need their own version of jfk. They need a young handsome white guy who has a common man approach. kind of like a male version of Palin except with more experience.

maybe jay could help[ me but nobody really fits the bill that I can think of.

It woulda been damn hard for Obama to tie him to Bush. That combined with his excellent record of fiscal responsibility in this economy woulda made him the stronger of the 2 on. That would have made it very competitive.

Palin atleast got his party excited about him. she hurt independets but he didnt even try to get them.

nope. mccain had no message and was too erratic to possibly contend with Obama calm, cool, and collected approach. In the end Obama was clearly the stronger and more impressive of the 2 due how erratic mccain was.

yup.

not sure of that yet
