 Re: Senator Stevens Guilty!
We should have executions for white collar criminals. Fuck for drug dealers--they're not afraid to die, why else are they killing each other daily? But these white collar types actually have something to live for, and for years people would say, "Um, actually, remember how they fried Ted Stevens? Maybe this isn't a good idea..."

 Re: Senator Stevens Guilty!
Didn't Sarah Palin associate with Stevens? Doesn't that make her guilty as well? When is she going to come clean and explain this relationship with a convicted felon?

 Re: Senator Stevens Guilty!
WTF? MSNBC is showing a breaking banner: "BREAKING NEWS: ATF says it disrupted skinhead plot in Tenn., Ark. to assassinate Obama" EDIT: Pretty flimsy plot. Two skinheads planned a killing spree with the assassination at the end. It doesn't look like it would have worked to me, to have a "beltway sniper" scenario culminating in an attempt on Obama. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27405681/

Now it's an occasional disorganized redneck with a double-digit IQ. Guys like McVeigh or Kaczynski or perhaps even Manson were a lot of things, but they were definitely not stupid.

A poll released on October 19th had Begich leading 47-46.
This should be enough to seal the deal.

This should be enough to seal the deal. I agree. When Stevens was indicted on July 30, his poll numbers nosedived right after, while Begich's went up. Through time, Stevens crept up again in the polling and made the race close. I expect a similar effect to happen now, where Stevens again will nosedive, but this time around he doesn't have the time to recover. The election is in 7 days. Peace, Mike

Being Gov of the state of course she associated with him. No, it does not make her guilty of anything. Please restrain yourself. What's there to explain? She had a professional relationship with the Senator of her state. What Gov. doesn't?

If, say, the Gov of Illinios was accused of corruption, you can bet the GOP would have been all over that.

Um, yeah, I was being ironic, playing the fact that the McCain-Palin are running a guilt-by-association campaign against Obama.

Will Stevens lose?
I say it is 50-50....
They love Sarah Palin (80% do), so who knows?

 Re: Senator Stevens Guilty!
I hope he loses by one vote.
His.
As a convicted felon, he has lost his right to vote in Alaska, so he can't vote for himself.
Wouldn't that be great?!

The new Rasmussen poll shows he is 8 points behind now.

 Re: Senator Stevens Guilty!
It would be nice to see him go down..
However, it will be a toss up next time again for sure.
