I assume he's winning the election, so I'll go with winning Georgia too. Would be a fabulous breakthrough.

Re: Things that would excite you the most on Nov 4th
To me, it would be a complete repudiation of all things Republican, with Democrats getting 60 seats in the Senate as well as defeating Republicans in smaller races all over the country, including state representatives and so on.
I want that so that there is no doubt whatsoever that Obama will have a mandate and that the people really want a change. The Republicans deserve it for all the years of selfish, self-righteous crap they have thrown at this great country, driving it into the ground for their own profit. And while some good Republicans will be caught up in this, perhaps they should have done more to protest the leaders of the GOP to prevent this from happening.
I want them crying and begging, and I want them to basically die, to be reborn as a more libertarian party in tune with what they once believed, not beholden to the religious right nutcases and the military-industrial complex Eisenhower warned them about.
We need a massive realignment of American politics. That's what I want.

Re: Things that would excite you the most on Nov 4th
I have to say I actually do not want a 60-40 Senate. And I'm not too fond of Obama/Biden, Reid/Pelosi either. There will be almost nothing to keep things balanced for the next four years like it should be. I think it'd be a great issue for McCain/Palin to push, but they don't seem to be.

GOP holds onto the Senate and Dino Rossi wins.
McCain keeps Obama under 315 EC votes and then concedes the election and says Obama won fair and square.

Re: Things that would excite you the most on Nov 4th
1. Obama declared victory by 8:00pm EST (considering VA closes the poll at 7pm); 2. Obama winning NC; 3. 60 Senate seats for Dems; 4. Seeing Obama making breakthrough in the mid-west, hopefully winning both North Dakota and Montana; 5. Seeing Obama making inroad in the south, losing by only single digit in GA, SC, MS, and TX.

Re: Things that would excite you the most on Nov 4th
At this point any kind of landslide would really have no affect on me if Prop 8 in CA passes. I don't even care about Obama anymore. And there is way more (personally) riding on Prop 8 for me. It's more than the issue at this point. I can't explain it and it may sound corny but I think if it passes a part of me or at least the optimistic/hopeful part of me will really take a permanent blow. I just got the most unsettling call from the No on 8 campaign people about what the utterly unethical tactics the other side is using.

Re: Things that would excite you the most on Nov 4th
Well, it's not public knowledge, so maybe I shouldn't be saying it yet, but...
The Yes on 8 people have been calling our base (which we have moved on from and focus on undecided voters now) and telling them they are calling from the Long Beach Gay and Lesbian Center and telling them to vote yes to support same-sex marriage.
If this continues, they expect 10-15% wrong way voting which will most definitely cost us the election. I mean it's as if BLATANTLY lying in ALL their tv ads wasn't enough...

I want Sarah Palin to be a footnote in history. And like Groucho, I look most forward to the utter and humiliating repudiation of Republican leadership and ideology over the past 8 years. I hope beyond hope that the GOP uses the rebuilding opportunity to marginalize the Christianist nutjobs and become truly party of smaller government and fiscal responsibility. I think the opposite is going to happen. A supermajority in the Senate and House are icing on the cake. If they do get them, I hope that Obama has the wherewithal not to overreach, to do what he can to keep the party in line to retain a majority for 2010 and 2012.
