The NRO picks up the science mantle by asserting that Obama will try to destroy science because biologists are proving that some people (whites) are genetically superior to others (blacks). See? A claim he can only make with a straight face if we pretend like the last 8 years never happened.

What's amazing to me is to think back to late 2001/early 2002 and consider how popular Bush was. Everyone realized that going into Afghanistan was necessary, and somehow everyone saw Bush as a great American and took comfort that he'd do the right thing. It reminds me of a comic that depicted Bush and Cheney doing everything in their power to become unpopular, which ended up requiring a lot since they were so popular at one point.

Bush saw the confidence that the American people took in what he was doing and wanted to push the envelope to do what he saw fit.

He fucked up a great opportunity to become one of the greatest presidents ever.
