 "Terrorist" "Kill him!"
In a speech given by McCain, he asked "Who is Barack Obama?" and a man from the crowd distinctly cried out "Terrorist!" Palin gave her speech about Ayers and continued to spread the vile lie that Obama "pals around with terrorists" and a man from the crowd yelled "Kill him!" McCain and Palin ignored the shouts.
McCain and Palin are stirring up their base by labeling Obama not just wrong on policy (they're not discussing issues at all in fact), but a DANGEROUS man. A terrorist. An America-hater. This isn't some Swift boat group or 527. This is McCain himself. Palin herself.
The fact is that in pursuing their most desperate and lowest gutter politics of the campaign, they are endangering Obama's life. This should give anyone, including McCain's remaining supporters, great pause. It is a chilling moment in modern American politics.
The modern GOP have hit rock bottom. And if you are still a McCain supporter at this point, go fuck yourself.

There are not enough expletives to express what I'm feeling right now.

 Re: "Terrorist" "Kill him!"
It's getting dangerous out here for Obama supporters even outside the country http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... shirt.htmlMan shot three times in street by racist gunman - for wearing Barack Obama T-shirt Quote: Dube Egwuatu was buying a mobile telephone top-up card in an off-licence when the gunman confronted him and glared at the top, which carries an image of the Democrat US presidential candidate underneath the legend 'Believe'. The man then launched into a tirade of racist slurs, shouting 'I f***ing hate n*****s' and urging 36-year-old Mr Egwuatu to leave the shop with him.

 Re: "Terrorist" "Kill him!"
From the Washington Post today:
In Clearwater, arriving reporters were greeted with shouts and taunts by the crowd of about 3,000. Palin then went on to blame Katie Couric's questions for her "less-than-successful interview with kinda mainstream media." At that, Palin supporters turned on reporters in the press area, waving thunder sticks and shouting abuse. Others hurled obscenities at a camera crew. One Palin supporter shouted a racial epithet at an African American sound man for a network and told him, "Sit down, boy."

The US is about as progessive as a wet sock. It depends on where you are talking about, in the south sure, but in states like Massachusetts, California, Michigan, etc those problems don't exist like that.

I wish I could vouch for that Jedi, but I can't. In my own family there are some members who won't vote for Obama because of his "tan". Even in Massachusetts we have a fair share of racists; thankfully I find it less in the younger generation, but it isn't gone.

That is subtle racism, I don't think there are that many violent ones in the north.

Google Michigan Militia and see what you find. They are a very small minority though. I am sure you can find a couple of Neo Nazis in New York and California but that doesn't mean there are full blown violent racists in those states. Although even in the south that kind of racism isn't as bad as it was 30 years ago.

 Re: "Terrorist" "Kill him!"
Over at the Corner, they're trying to figure out if Obama is more of a radical Stalinist or a radical Maoist (seriously, count the number of times McCarthy uses the word "radical"). These guys are already acting like the last 8 years of Bush never happened and that they haven't been cheerleading him the entire time.

She jumps in front of the camera after nearly each question.

 Re: "Terrorist" "Kill him!"
Well at least a few "Rednecks" are smarter than you average bear, boo, boo: http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20081009/pl ... marednecks'Rednecks for Obama' want to bridge yawning culture gap Quote: Viessman had a red, white and blue "Rednecks for Obama" banner made, and began causing a stir in Missouri, which has emerged as a key battleground in the run-up to the November 4 presidential election.
"I didn't expect it would get as much steam and attention as it's gotten," Spencer told AFP on the campus of Washington University in Saint Louis, the state's biggest city and site of last week's vice-presidential debate.
"We believe in him. He's the best person for the job," Viessman, a former state trooper from Rolla, said of Obama, who met the pair briefly on that July day in Union, Missouri.
The candidate bounded off his bus and jogged back towards a roadside crowd to shake hands with the men holding the banner.
"He said 'This is incredible'," Spencer recalled.
It's been an unexpectedly gratifying run, Viessman said.

 Re: "Terrorist" "Kill him!"
Saying someone is or isn't smart because they support someone isn't really accurate or fair. There's never a right or wrong candidate.
But anyone that thinks "rednecks" won't support Obama are silly. I live in a very poor area, with several "trailer trash" as many like to say unfairly and wrongly. There's several Obama signs in the front yard. I've been seeing an equal amount. On my trip to Morgantown, about 130 miles out of my town, there were many, many Obama signs in peoples yards on the way up and NOT in Morgantown (college town). People who many would write off as trailor trash (aka unworthy of their vote equaling theirs) Sure, McCain will likely win the majority of those voters, but it's a voting group (I hate calling it a voting group though, labels are blah) just like every other voting group. No voting group is better than the other, each person who may associate themselves in that group have the same voice in an election as the next person. I think this annoys some elitists, but oh well. It's how it should always be. And it's silly to blame a group for how they voted. I'll go ahead and use this "redneck" group for example. Bill Clinton, a democrat, was able to connect with them, why shouldn't other democrats be able to? Parties don't matter, who running does though.

Watching these videos just makes me that much happier that Obama is up by so much in the polls. The Republicans are obviously frustrated.
