One of my accounts is actually with WaMu. So far so good. At any rate, it's FDIC insured.

My banks have been showing a message on their homepage from the CEO or a letter in the mail reminding everyone that they are insured by the FDIC. Of course, I haven't had to worry about the $100,000 limit, haha. With all the buyouts and failures, normal savings/checking accounts shouldn't be affected and should continue as normal.

I cannot imagine anyone keeping more than 100k in a bank account. How do you even accumulate that much extra money?
And I'm concerned about my savings...like, will it be enough to feed my until my next check. : (

As long as I never get over 100K (HA!), I'm good. And it's FDIC insured, so.

Hey, for all of those budding Spielbergs and Bruckheimers out there who may have cash to burn later, here's a simple little tip. Use CDARS to insure your accounts up to $50 Million. http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/t ... dist=msr_1Not for me though. I'm still on dial-up!
