The Republican convention is full of speeches talking about the "real America" -- you know, real Americans live in small towns and hold real values and hate all them liberal ideas.

However, this America just doesn't exist any more. the majority of Americans live in cities and suburbs, and hold liberal views on the issues. The GOP wouldn't win at all if (a) they weren't scaring and detracting Americans from the real issues (b) the electoral college didn't favor small rural states; and (c) the Democrats hadn't in the past run such terrible campaigns.

Look at these numbers:

Americans are pro-choice (67 percent)

Americans support the Geneva Conventions with regards to torture (57 percent)

Americans don't want the government snooping in their bank and internet records (67 percent)

Americans support protecting the environment at the expense of economic growth (55 percent)

Americans believe that global warming is happening (86 percent)

Americans believe that it's the government's responsibility to provide health care (69 percent)

Americans support the decriminalization of marijuana (55 percent) and support the legalization of medical marijuana (78 percent)

Americans are opposed to attacking Iran (68 percent, according to a CNN Poll)

Americans support labor unions (60 percent)

Americans want government funding of embryonic stem cell research (56 percent)

Americans believe rich people and corporations aren't paying enough taxes (66 and 71 percent respectively)

To claim that most Americans are conservative just doesn't jive with the numbers.

So Americans are liberal.

Americans are also dumb enough to be scared and detracted by Republicans time after time.

Therefore: Liberals are dumb.

Conservatives are dumb. Liberals seem smart until they tell you about veganism and Illuminati. It doesn't matter whether Libertarians are smart or dumb. Communists aren't humans.

The problem you need only 25 percent of the electorate to win as only half the people vote.


So the Silent Majority that got Nixion elected back in 1968 was 25%-35% of the people who were appalled at the riots and civil unrest going on.

Plus out of that 25% that vote most are older white people who lean conservative.

The only reason the conservatives won in Canada is because a bunch of older white men switched from Liberals to Conservatives.
