So maybe you know it ... Hezbollah is street fighting in Beirut against.......well against who exactly.......here in the news they said the Lebanese Military is just standing by and does nothing.......So did somebody catch in the news against Hezbollah is actually fighting currently? |

They are basically fighting against citizens and armed pro-government supporters. Hezbollah effectively gained control of West Beirut, according to CNN. |

As far is i understand they're fighting another group (Sunni) which is backed heavily by the Saudi's and US (probably Israel aswell). The reason why the Lebanese army isnt doing anything is because it could potentially fuck up the army itself as it consists of Christians/Sunnis/Shia's, whereas Hezbollah are a Shia group and the majority of the Lebanese army are Shia's . . . The government realise they need Hezbollah, they're not going to intervene too quickly. |
