Post McCain booed at MLK speech
Since he constantly voted against making MLK Day a National holiday, it shouldn't be a huge surpise...

I admire him for going into the lion's den, but you know, it probably didn't help that he gave his speech while a black man held his umbrella over his head for him.

A black man holding an umbrella over his head. Where were his handlers? I know it shouldn't make a difference but please.

According to McCain, it was because of his youth, at the tender age of 47. Ironically, conservatives, who opposed and still oppose civil rights legislation at every turn, are now trying to claim that MLK Jr was really one of them, and they are the true standard bearers for his legacy.

Beeble, as much as I dislike your views (although I agree with you here), you need to post more often. This section of the forums is dead otherwise. I don't care about "making a living" or any such nonsense.
