how long do you think US Troops have to stay in Iraq? Obama did say he doesnt think he will get them back in one president period....so that would make 2012. the other thing is how long it will take to build up an Iraqi Army that will work and that will not fight each other for some power greedy generals......not to forget that will be able to fight Iran when US leaves. I think it will take another five years...so 2013.....though it could easy also be 2015. What do you think? |

I think Obama saying he can't get them back within one presidential period is highly disturbing. When Obama's in it should be by 2012 or less. If McCain's in then we'll be there beyond 2012. |

I think I now know why Mutha may have endorsed Hillary. I think nearly everyone would have expected him to vote for the anti-war candidate (Obama), but he didn't. Anyway, there will always be a US presence in Iraq now. As for any dramatic change in forces being withdrawn, I don't know. Won't happen with McCain at all, no idea about Obama since he hasn't really took a firm stance on the issue and has said it's only a best case scenario that all (or most) combat troops will be withdrawn from Iraq within a year or something and seems to be in the middle of McCain and Clinton now, when Clinton was more in the middle, and while Clinton has said she will begin to withdraw them immediantly, I don't know. |
