Here's a great article pointing out that for all the Republicans keep citing Reagan, they keep getting it wrong. Reagan was in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens, raised taxes when he had to, cut and ran from Lebanon, and appointed moderates to the Supreme Court. If Reagan was running now, he would be considered unacceptable by the Republicans, because he held positions to the left of McCain. http://www.slate.com/id/2183513/

Maybe he read the article. I get sick of them citing Reagan as well. "I'm a Reagan xxxxxx." Well, this is a different era. He was elected 24 years ago, times change.
