Am I the only one watching it? My thoughts so far: - McCain has done well, answered some tough questions. - Huckabee is a great public speaker, tons of charisma. - I was surprised, and thrilled, with how hard McCain came out in favor of the environment when asked about California's right to modify it's emissions laws. |

Guess I am the only one, heh. Romney seemed to win the battle of questions with regard to McCain's recent ads saying Romney called for a timetable for withdrawal. |

I think McCain is an almost certain lock to win the nomination at this point. For what initially seemed like a chaotic race, the GOP contest will probably have a clearer front-runner/winner on Super Tuesday. |

McCain has always been an outspoken supporter of the environment. I applaud his courage in straight-talking on yet one more issue. (or maybe he knows he has the nomination sewn up and don't care) |

I thought McCain's answer re: his immigration bill was weak. I even agreed with much that was in that bill, but the guy refused to answer. All of their answers on Sandra Day O'Connor were not answered in any meaningful way. Finally, the best part was Romney and McCain arguing about McCain's allegation that Romney was for "timetables" regarding Iraq. |

See, I liked McCain's immigration answer. He seemed to say that the people showed him they wanted something different than what he proposed, he listened, and he was working to pass a law that better represented what the people wanted than what he originally proposed. I thought it was a good answer to a question highlighting something he has changed on. |

I watched/listened to about half of this debate when Paul started speaking. Hhm, today I learn that McCain had about 17 questions, Romney 15, Huckabee 12 and Paul 5. I've given up even paying much attention to this stuff. I wish Paul were a clear and to the point speaker like Romney then maybe people would take him more seriously, however, I do appreciate Paul for at least getting his ideas and opinions on the national stage but this whole process is just wearing me out. |
