 Re: 2008 General Election Thread
So what network are you guys gonna watch the results on? I think my roomies are I are gonna have three tvs on at once, each with a different station. I think my favorite to watch will be Fox News. I can't wait to see the anchors burst out in tears when they call Virginia for Obama. It will probably be the highlight of my night.

 Re: 2008 General Election Thread
Whatever channel is set at the bar. I'm guessing it'll be CNN. From the Times: Quote: Voting rights groups have also filed lawsuits against election officials in Pennsylvania and Virginia, saying they have not stocked enough paper ballots to prepare for the expected turnout. Well, when there's a will, I guess that there is afterall a way. What did Bradley say again "Narrow McCain, the Reps have the voting technology all locked up."

I expect Chaos in NC, Penn, Ohio, Florida and Virgina.
You will see close to 68-70% turnout in these areas.

 Re: 2008 General Election Thread
There was a general e-mail from work today that stated if one of my company's employees wants to go vote that all the managers have to accomodate their schedules, even if it means cutting production (which never happens). Though it doesn't apply to me, I thought it was an interesting move and makes me wonder if other companies are doing the same.

Doesn't early voting ruin the fun and excitement of election day? In the future, absentee and early vote are going to gain a lot of popularity and eventually will be have projected winners sooner and sooner... kinda of like what happened to box office numbers.

If the Washington Redskins win, Obama loses. If the Pittsburgh Steelers win, Obama wins. Pitt wins The past 17 elections it has been proven right.

I don't really buy into but if Obama wins those people who push that thing will be happy.

 Re: 2008 General Election Thread
I must admit that when I watch my sports teams play, I do NOT like nail-biter close games, even when they win (although, granted, it's better than losing a nail-biter). I like blow-outs. Here's to hoping tomorrow goes the way of Dixville Notch.
