I don’t want to post in this thread ever again.
But your opinions about my species are irrelevant, and I can only repeat you have no right or ability to have an opinion about it.

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
It's pretty crazy that there's a chance a month from now Harris is Potus, I mean not a likely chance, but it's going to be at least 5-10% right?

Percentage estimates are based on the information of the observer.
I would not agree with your estimates.

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
The betting markets are now like 50/50 on Biden for nominee. This is getting real. The media’s burial has been brutal.

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
The media’s influence is certainly not what it used to be though. Mainly because of the internet, but also because people become numb over time to reflexive and routine emotional provocation. I think it really depends on Jill Biden at this point.

Poll out has Trump beating every Dam by a few point, with Kamala at the closest by 2%. EXCEPT Michelle. Who is up 11% - 50 to 39 - on him.
Donors need to tell her they will bankroll every passion project that she, her children, and her grand children ever have if shr will run and vanquish Trump once and for all.

Michelle has the name but can she does the job? Outside of being First Lady and having the last name Obama. What has she done?

I'd say Biden would push for Harris. I forgot that they go back farther than 2020 as apparently she was friends with Beau, it's probably one of the reasons why he picked her.

Trump is going to win again. The next four years will be insufferable.

If Trump wins there is a real risk there will not be another election in 2028

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
Biden is not stepping aside. I agree with zwack. It’s just too late. I thought Biden would work in that he has had a very successful presidency and is about the most non-offensive candidate. But he’s too old and the entire candidacy is now dependent on the (legitimate) fear of a Trump monarchy going into effect with a White Christian Nationalist movement riding his criminal coattails.

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
I think you are right as part of Project 2025 is to end the independent nature of the administrative branch and put in only loyalists. Crazy how people are only now tarting to catch on to what is happening and so many honest people who support Trump don’t fully grapple with what is happening. We are on our way to being a Hungry/Russia style of one-party democracy where elections are just a show and the party in power is forever in power. This is not hyperbole because Trump literally tried this in 2020/early 2021.

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
That’s just the Democrats using fear tactics as a lazy and manipulative way to try to make people vote for them. The Trump era has been about turnout elections and making their voters see it as do or die helps motivate them to have Trump voter like energy.

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
After everything that happened between November of 2020 and January of 2021 which I watched with my own two eyes not from A Democrat speech or newspaper editorial, why would I not believe with a Supreme Court that has chosen to anoint Trump a King above the law would not use his powers to assure his family (who he filled his cabinet with) continues to reign over this country? Trump’s going to magically have Washington’s character? No. He literally has gone to the billionaire class asking for 25 million dollar bribes to lower their taxes. Trump is using the American People in this biggest scam ever that might leave us with a permanent Trumptocracy where the Heritage Foundation who wants another “American Revolution” (their own words, will be “bloodless if the Radical Left allows it” again their own words) to flood the institutions of our nation with Christian Nationalists. Sorry if this is alarmist, but they are so bold about winning in 2024 that they are now saying all of this out loud.

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
If the Supreme Court was hell bent on putting Trump in power they would've ruled in his favor in December 2020.

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
To be fair I don’t think they are directly trying to help Trump (like Alito and Thomas are who dissented on that motion in 2020 if you recall) but rather are playing into his court. I want to like Barrett I really do, but I think she was too inexperienced to take on that high of a court and easily influenced by peer pressure (which is why she was more of a half a vote)z I lost all respect for John Roberts after he just appears to be all of the worst aspects of the Nixon administration re-animated.

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
I think it would be be bad if there were 5 judges as conservative as Thomas/Alito and 5 as progressive as Jackson. Does the left agree? Maybe a few, but for the most part, I don't think so. They would love to have a majority of clearcut progressives on the court because then the government could finally get stuff done in their eyes just by the president ordering it like Biden's student debt plan and the SC being rubber stampers.

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
I would be okay with that in theory, but the end of Roe v Wade and this new ruling on Presidential immunity suggests an extreme Supreme Court. We really need to balance out the ideology of this court.

If Shack was an Avenger: "Steve Rogers is just using lazy fear tactics to manipulate us into thinking Thanos will wipe out half the life on Earth if he collects all the infinity stones. But what if Woke Widow got her hands on them? She could easily do the same thing!"

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
If you guys still have any hope for the present Democratic Party you are wasting your efforts. Strategically it’s been defeated for generations, and nothing will change that. Besides feminism it has no near term future. It’s just desperate and pathetic to cling to any illusion to the contrary, even anything you could get from republicans.

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
Looks like Harris will be the nominee of things fall short for Biden. This will allow Biden to continue campaigning and allow Harris to smoothly take over if Biden drops out.

Re: 2024 election - First presidential debate
It would be funny when Harris gives speeches about democracy being on the ballot as a candidate that never went through a primary.
