If the spill was the proximate cause of a person or corporation's injury, let the person sue B.P. in tort. I do not see what President Obama has to do with special damage claims by individual and corporate litigants against B.P. unless you are suggesting he should somehow limit damage claims against B.P.

Now, it is up to B.P. and its lawyers (assuming they are in Federal Court) to use FRCP 12(b)(6) to dismiss all the failures to state a claim upon which relief can be granted.

well then why did Obama involve himself with the following HEADLINES.... especially when he was bragging to the American people on the beach or on tv....

* Obama orders Gulf oil spill claims to be paid quickly

* Obama says BP must meet economic claims

* Obama vows to resolve complications with BP's damage claim payments

* Obama wants BP account for oil claims

Pretty much the entire tourist and fishing industry in the Gulf should be suing BP at this point. Not to mention the contaminated property. It takes YEARS to get all that money and compensation out, though.

so the oil is still flowing Mr. President! Can't we just stick one of Obama's fingers in the hole to pull it...as I haven't seen Obama using it to point at anyway lately!

anyway, todays report shows that the oil is back to flowing freely for a couple of days....so how many barrels have been spilled in totaled????

Why don't you answer some questions that have been asked? Like how many barrels have split...and will Obama keep his promise to make everything return to normal, make the water cleaner then ever, make sure BP pays for everything, etc, etc, etc...and has Obama done a good job since all his PR moments of being there for the people affected by the spill?

So with almost 200 MILLION gallons in the water, OBAMA and his adm is questioning how BP is trying to seal the cap and the tests it is performing.

Too bad they didn't say something weeks ago and not in the middle of the work.
