Right-wing activist Brent Bozell today on FNC:
BOZELL: Conservatives didn’t play a role in this campaign. This was a moderate Republican against a liberal, left-wing Democrat. And the left-wing Democrat beat the moderate Republican. … If you look at the exit polls this year, you’ll find two fascinating results. Number one: This country remains every bit as center-right as it has for a generation.
HEMMER: You don’t think that’s changed at all?
BOZELL: No it hasn’t. … Number one is that the public is conservative; number two: Barack Obama won as a conservative. That means Barack Obama does not have the mandate to enact the progressive agenda he wants to enact.

How can it be a center right country. If it was, then that would be the center, wouldn't it?
In other news, do you guys think Obama's security people should create a kind of pope mobile for him for the inauguration?

It's not center-right. He JUST got done saying that Obama ran as a liberal left-wing Democrat. And then claims that Obama ran as a conservative, which means he can't actually pursue any of his progressive agenda.
These people are lying scumbags who will say anything. And as long as they're learning all of the wrong lessons from this election, they will stay in the wilderness forever. Which is becoming increasingly fine by me.

I was listening to Fox Radio, and was told several times that I voted for Obama out of "white guilt". There was no other explanation for white people to vote for Obama.
Further, Rush Limbaugh says that there was a study that showed single women are "stupid" (his exact words) in comparison to married women. Voting showed that single women voted hard for Obama. Therefore, this is proof that stupid people voted for Obama.

While at the same time, according to Limbaugh, Obama, Democrats, and liberals are the elitists who look down on middle America.

Lawrence O' Donnell to Pat Buchanan: "You are from a party that celebrates ignorance."
Wow.

Would you expect a partisan guy like O'Donell to say something different?

Stupid McCain guy decides to incite a riot on election day in Philly. Cameraman also deleted everything pre-arrest.
At least the cops seem to have had probable cause to arrest under the 4th Amendment.

"This is what we can expect." And Obama had what to do with this exactly?
And frankly, voters of the Wiretapping-Gitmo-Torture party can kiss my ass about first amendment rights. The guy wasn't arrested because he was wearing a McCain-Palin t-shirt any more than the anti-Prop 8 protesters in LA last night were arrested because they're gay.
I guess this is the upside of an Obama presidency. Republicans have discovered that the Constitution isn't just for pissing on or wiping your ass with.

Here, here.
My thought is the guy was doing something stupid prior to the camera starting. Why would there be a camera there anyway and why would the guy have a "snappy" line like "this is what we can expect"?
You're right, the warrantless wiretapping, torturing, Gitmo detaining, Alito/Robert's appointing, just got their asses handed to them, party, can maybe wake up to the mess they have left this country in.
Obama is the terrier and the Republicans are the one's fleeing to hide in the shadows.

That's only if he gets 66.6 million votes of course.

Ted Stevens is now down by 3 votes in AK. THREE!! Stevens was up by 3000 votes initially, but his lead has shrunk during the recount process and inclusion of absentee ballots.
Stevens could still lose this thing, giving Dems one more Senate seat.

Let's certainly hope so. And then if Franken comes out ahead, and Chambliss loses in the run-off...

Re: Can we get an Election Day General Discussion Thread?
Anyone know why Democratic candidates always seem to gain votes in recounts?
Gore, Christine Gregoire, Franken, Steven's opponent, etc. I'm not saying there is cheating going on (that happens in all elections on both sides and I loathe conspiracies), just a simple question.
Re: Can we get an Election Day General Discussion Thread?
I would say because Democrats are more likely to have provisional ballots cast for them?
And an update on the AK-Senate race, Begich up 814 votes!

Not sure either.
I think a lot of the "problems" and mistakes happen in urban or low income polling areas that are often crowded, disorganized, and under-funded. Those areas tend to vote overwhelmingly Democratic.
