 Re: Who Will Be President?
What are numbers for 2012, 2008, etc.? I have to assume this is a jump up.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
The first Obama-Romney debate in 2012 averaged 67 million viewers. So a jump of 17 million viewers (84 million watched Clinton & Trump), though that number doesn't include all those who watched at viewing parties at bars/restaurants, and via online streams.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
That's at least 80 million people watching Trump embarrass himself on live television. Works for me.

Obviously anyone voting for Trump is voting for Trump. They'll never be swayed. He'll attract a few undecideds maybe, but it's going to come down to voter turnout and whether people actually come out to vote for Hillary that would normally vote for the Dems.
I'm sure I'm just regurgitating what's been said, but anyone who thinks the debates were going to undo Trump are silly. He could come out and shit on the stage and his supporters wouldn't suddenly say "Ohhhhhhhhhhh... he's not qualified at all!" I don't completely agree I think there are things he could do, but it would have to be something like denying the holocaust, supporting child molesters, or killing somebody on stage.

All of which a good portion of his audience would approve of.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
But really, how much has he said and done so far and he's this close to Hillary? People who have said all along "Oh wait until the debates do him in!" seriously underestimated the stupidity of his supporters.

Is there also a possibility to vote for a third candidate? I mean the choice between Trump or Clinton is just so fucking bad.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
Even "3rd choice" Gary Johnson is bad, I might even but him below Trump. Don't know about Jill Stein. Sure Hillary isn't perfect, but she won't be worse than any of the previous presidents.

Right, the other choices are really bad too. Hillary IS the best option.

Gary Johnson is barely more qualified to be president than Trump is.
And don't even get me started on Jill Stein.

Jill Stein is probably the best choice.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
Eh, that does not matter.
She is the best choice because it will break the two-party hold on the American political system, plus she's a woman so that won't be lost by not having Hillary win.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
Well, it is the US presidential candidacy. They're all a joke. The trick is to find the least damaging one.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
I still know nothing about Stein; but that's hardly a gaffe that she had...however she is the minorist of candidates; meaning her positions already don't seem to appeal to a decent amount of people. Hillary clearly is the least damaging one, she's been at different ranks of politics for decades, and will know how to maneuver government to avoid calamities.

It doesn't help that Gary Johnson looks like Larry from The Three Stooges. Except Larry was smarter.

 Re: Who Will Be President?
Trump's 1995 tax returns leaked tonight, per a NYT story, and indicate he may not have paid federal income taxes for the last 18 years.
I think we have our October surprise! Right on cue.

It'd have to be surprising in order to be a surprise though, right?

Fingers crossed that this may be one of the few things that could hurt him with Trump voters. Some of them were dumb enough to think he's like the greatest business man in the world right?

Isn't that exactly what the greatest business man in the world would do? The US system is rigged to benefit the rich. Minimizing your income taxes is what the common man aspires to and respects.
