If this doesn't pass these people must be stupid. I can't imagine people actually have a choice whether to pay taxes or not pay taxes and go ahead and mark Yes (I want to continue paying this tax). Why is it stupid? If they repeal that it means either higher property taxes or higher sales tax. You got to pay taxes somewhere.

FWIW Quote: I just talked to one of my best Team McCain sources who told me that heading into today all the key battleground polls were moving hard and fast in their direction. The source, hardly a perma-optimist, thinks it will be a long night, but that McCain is going to win. So add this with the new Battleground poll (Obama +1.9 only) and the rising stock market... http://www.usnews.com/blogs/capital-commerce/2008/11/4/the-latest-from-inside-mccain-hq.htmlAs always, take these things with a grain of salt.

The exit polls are coming in. The CNN numbers I saw so far favor Obama big time.

The election outcome won't impact me that much since I live in Canada, but the media build-up still has me on edge. Try to imagine how a football fan would feel if they only held the Superbowl once every four years. That's how I feel now.

I don't know why, but I'm getting the feeling this race will be much closer than many on here believe. Here's hoping that feeling is wrong.

Turnout at my precinct (with 3+ hours left at the time) was over 80%.

And I somehow doubt he'd admit to a margin bigger than necessary. Still, yeah, after 2000 and 2004, I don't blame anyone for being nervous.

I hear rumors turnout might be 140 million that would be unbelievable.

I meant the 4-7 hour wait, but the turnout is insane too.
I wonder how many people came back to life to vote this year.

With less than 1% in, Obama leads New Hampshire, 66%-33%.
