If you think Democrats are viewed as elitists now, wait till someone higher up seriously starts talking about "re-education". ahem. See? You just proved my point. Was your point that my speech must be censored and cannot include idioms that include religious references? Great point. Goes very well with the whole "re-education" campaign you got going.

Yes I agree. I didn't mean he'd be running for president anytime soon.

If McCain wins in November, I'm fully prepared to blame the Democrats and not the dim-wits we call Americans. They should know better by now. This is a show. And they have really let their audience down since the primaries were over. Pretty much The election really has become an American Idol-esque event... The Dems should've realized Obama beat Hillary because of his charisma and speaking skills, NOT because of his stance on any of the issues. If they did, they would've known Biden was a shit choice, and Palin was a great one. If the Republicans win this, it'll be because they simply outsmarted the Dems and were more aware of the press impact on the election nowadays.

I think McCain has finally shown the blind beloved followers of Obama, that he is not only a old man who can't do anything.
He played some real hardcore politics here and with every factor going against his chances of winning are growing day by day.

Re: Latest Gallup: Obama hits 50% for first time
I highly doubt it will ever go back to Obama leading by even a semi-comfortable margin.
I think McCain will have a slight lead once we enter the debates and it will go up and down until the last debate (mostly because of Palin) and then it should come back down to a tie or Obama slightly ahead by election day, which means McCain will probably end up with the popular vote and the election will come down to around 2 states.

Actually, if Obama can't collect Colorado and a couple other states like NM and Nevada, Ohio won't even matter.

Dont be fooled by one poll. Of the 6 national polls released yesterday, 3 had them TIED, one with McCain by 5 and of course that random one with him at 10. Your convention bump getting you tied or uyp by 1 or 2 is not impressive, Obama will be back in the lead by debate time and never look back. Palin is largely responsibly for McCains bump, but she wont be there in the debates itll be just McCain-Obama. Poeple, like Loyal, need to remember the election is 2 months away. In 2 months, I doubt his girlfriend will still be pro mccain n i dont even know her, i just know how it works. Its a cycle. When it just McCain-Obama in the debates, McCain will struggle and not because of what how he speaks (slow and boring), but what he says. He has pulled ahead largely because he and Palin are spouting things that are not true and because it was the convention, everybody saw them. Against Obama, he cant talk about Obama raising taxes, cant bring up the surge, cant bring up the economy, and most imporant of all CANT BRING UP CHANGE. All those argument will get owned by Obama with ease. Enjoy McCains lead in polls while it lasts, really, because it wont be around very long.

Shit, does anyone have an Excel to English dictionary I am refering to the people who tought Hillary had a shot to win even after it was over. The tide is so flat out against McCain-from electoral college to dems massive vote registration to even the substance and truth behind what they say- that it would truly take somethign very, very special from McCain to win.

I'm declaring it now. McCain wins, possibly by over 300 electoral votes.

Fuckin' Ohio. Obama will not win Ohio he is really getting out of touch with Blue Collar people and Sarah Palin is a rockstar to these people. Actually, Obama has now officially hit his lowest point in a while (since his Priest went AWOL). He will have to fight back hard and Imo I am leaning heavily towards McCain. Actually, Screw It I support John McCain.
Many of friends who were confident that Obama will win a Landslide think there is a 50-50 chance now. I think it is 50-50 now. Sure Obama has a ton of the new youth vote but its all mostly in blue states... I see a repeat of 1960 again. this will be a landmark election.

Re: Latest Gallup: Obama hits 50% for first time
Quote: Yeah, because while it is totally elitist and unacceptible to say that about McCain supporters the thing is though, Obama main goal is to win the Heart of America and he is making headway in Iowa and such but McCain is solid there and in the South especially with Palin. McCain does not have to win the Western Coastal States and the Northeast to win so Republicans can say whatever they want because those people won't vote Republican anyways. For Obama to win he has to win a section of middle America and when they here crap like that, they will vote in spite for McCain like they did with Bush in 2004.
