Let's face it: No matter who wins the Presidency, there's always going to be TAXES and who cares whether she had note cards?? For crying out loud Halpert, she had 5 weeks of info being crammed down her throat in an effort to bring her up to the level of a 30 year veteran like Biden..

 Re: The VP Debate
someone running for VP should already know this stuff, not have to cram and forget most of it or just use simple talking points. I mean she didn't even know wtf the Bush Doctrine was, one of the biggest most fucked up doctrines in our nations history and she has no fucking clue.
She's a fool and someone I dont want to lead the country. It's ok not to know something but then you learn it and understand it. She doesn't have the capacity to understand it.

Just because you don't like Obama means you have to automatically like his opponent, BKB. It's perfectly fine to be honest with yourself (if that's possible) and admit that Palin is hardly qualified to be governor of a small state, much less a heartbeat away from being Commander in Chief.

Christ, you knew what it was after you googled it and looked up the answer, probably like everyone else does around here and really, there's no way to prove it otherwise I suppose.. When Obama or Biden make a mistake(and for the love of god, they have) everyone sweeps it under the rug but heaven forbid if Palin makes a mistake and you all lynch her for it.. Talk about being BIASED..

She's been in charge of a town smaller than most High Schools, and a state with less people than Obama's district when he was a state senator. McCain has no executive experience either, you know. And so the fuck what? What does executive experience have to do with it? For God's sake, Bush had more executive experience than anyone running now, and we see how that turned out. Leadership, intelligence, and judgment are far more important. If all you care about is experience, let's get whoever has been in office the longest and make them president. Strom Thurmond would have been president, oh, and Ted kennedy is getting up there, too.

Groucho wrote: McCain has no executive experience either, you know. I think some people forget that Palin isn't actually running for president. McCain is. And that defending Palin only undermines the argument for McCain (such as it is) and vice versa. Suddenly, executive experience is the end all be all. Except that McCain doesn't have any. And Biden being a "Washington insider" is a bad thing, except that McCain has been in the US Congress for 26 years. And while Palin has all this experience and knowledge, she can't be expected to hold her own in a debate since she's only been preparing for 5 weeks, which is about the same time that Biden has had to prepare for running for VP. Virtually every comment in bold type face in this thread is a ridiculous farce or dishonest or both.

I value experience at any level.. Even a small bit.. Would you pick between a hockey coach with experience or a long time player to coach a team? I go with any experience.. Palin has it..
And, what's this about her not CiC material?? If she shot a moose she can shoot a 'bear'......

 Re: The VP Debate
gardenia.11/14.... wrote: My point is she could be a CiC.. No, your point is that executive experience, no matter how little, trumps everything else. So I ask you again, does that mean that Palin is way more experienced than John McCain to be president? Quote: Would you pick between a hockey coach with experience or a long time player to coach a team? I go with any experience.. Palin has it. To go back to this point, it's very telling that there is no other context to this question. What about the coach's record? If he were a coach who never won a game, was a jerk to his players, and cheated, versus a player who had demonstrated leadership on the team and had a winning record; I'd go with the player over the coach. And were this a Democratic governor vs a Republican Senator, I'm sure you'd say the same. Because experience in and of itself doesn't tell us very much. And in Palin's case, her record and her campaigning have many, many issues that cast a dark shadow over her ability to be president.

Hey, you know, there's that Dick Cheney guy -- he's probably the most experienced guy in government! He's been in congress, and worked for Presidents, and has been VP for eight years!
Who cares if he is incompetent, corrupt, and evil? He's got experience, and that trumps everything!

 Re: The VP Debate
http://blogs.tampabay.com/breakingnews/2008/10/under-the-watch.htmlCLEARWATER -- Constantly under the watchful eyes of security, the media wasn't permitted to wander around inside Coachman Park to talk to Sarah Palin supporters. When reporters tried to leave the designated press area and head toward the bleachers where the crowd was seated, an escort would dart out of nowhere and confront him or her and say, "Can I help you?'' and turn the person around. When one reporter asked an escort, who would not give her name, why the press wasn't allowed to mingle, she said that in the past, negative things had been written. The campaign wanted to avoid that possibility Monday. They won't even let the press talk to supporters. And you thought the Bush administration was bad. Imagine what a McCain-Palin presidency would be like. These are people who'd rather hide their candidates away rather than fall into the media trap with "gotcha" questions like "What newspapers do you read."
