Am I alone thinking the blue background behind him looks bland and bad on TV? Even a little flag or something might have helped.

Incredibly uneven speech, very hard to watch at time. Some good bits. I liked the story, but again I already knew ti so it didnt win any points. LIked the music. Loved the america is an idea line. Butt at the same time... WTF was he thinking with some thing?
"When I was 5, the post man ran into my house, saying "the japanese bombed pearl harbor"

Where's the digital matte painting of Naboo? Quote: "When I was 5, the post man ran into my house, saying "the japanese bombed pearl harbor" He built the log cabin Abraham Lincoln was born in. McCain's speech is not nearly as invigorating as Palin's speech. This man can put bears into hibernation. I feel a little sorry for him. He's more honorable than his campaign, and this campaign season has really dragged him down as a man.

 Re: The Republican Convention
I am very divided.
Hands down Obama wins on Issues however McCain character is much better.
Its the choice between a young idealist and a experienced man with many wounds. Its a choice that is rather diffcult...
I just don't trust Obama and I do not think McCain can do anything New.
Sarah Palin will be huge, here criticisms flew out the window yesterday.

The Republicans can go fuck themselves. And if America votes for McCain and Palin, then it too can go fuck itself.

Quote: HOW? How the fuck is he better on character? Obama already thinks he is President... Look, you can bitch all you want, Obama and McCain both have huge flaws. I can't believe how bias some of you have gotten for Obama or for McCain. Imo the best way to look at a election campaign is from the middle. Imo this is going to be a repeat of 1960 all over again Kennedy vs Nixon. Quote: Obama-machine needs to beat down on this campaign. It looks desperate and weak.
With Joe Biden???, Palin made him look sooo weak...

Look, you can bitch all you want, Obama and McCain both have huge flaws. McCain thinks he's an invincible god who can control the weather. I just don't know if I want someone like that as president. See how easy it is to project "flaws" on people and then act torn?

 Re: The Republican Convention
Are you kidding!
Biden was expected a man like Romney who he would discuss issues with.
Now it is going to become a hurl of insults and Biden cannot take the moral high ground. You watch any debate the person who brushes off things looks weak and the person who attacks even negatively looks much better. It will be a bitter debate...
actually imo it will be a very hyped up debate and it will be a sight to see.
Attack Dog vs Attack Dog.
Last time it was Edwards the Shiny vs the Dark Lord...
Expect it to be one of the most watched VP debates in history.

How can you admit that Bush has sent billions to Africa (something that isn't pandering to his base) and then mention that you wish he would stop "always pandering to his base"? That's about as far as I can get deciphering the caustic drivel flowing from your fingers.
