Ya, his vacation time is perfectly fine with the sheer amount of stress the dude deals with.
I do think they should have vacationed on one of the non-affected beaches on the Gulf Coast, ESPECIALLY after Michelle Obama encouraged all Americans to do such that and instead they chose Maine.

Legal argumentation is not really like a normal debate or argument. I don't know if Groucho is a trial attorney (civil or criminal), but if he is, I am willing to bet that 90% of his work is done before he arrives in court and that is only in the cases that actually go to trial. Correct. And I am not sure in which universe I "lost" this particular debate. The accusation was that Obama took too many vacations, I pointed out that Bush took more during his first year (a year which, I might add, included the attack on the World Trade Center, which dwarfs any problems Obama has). That's why I avoid Grill and try not to respond to him, because it's just useless and ridiculous.

(plus as others stated above, the choice, timing and place of his vacation was clueless....) when you just naively talk about of the number of days off.....

Its not as if a president is really on "vacation" when he is away from the White House or on official state trips. Also, Mark Knoller did not count the President's golf trips, which is almost every weekend when the weather is good enough to golf. About a month ago Knoller reported that Obama had played about 40 rounds of golf, which at 4 or so hours a round (which I think is generous due to the security concerns) would translate to around 6.5 more days of "vacation." That is more than President Bush did during both terms and he stopped playing in October of 2003. Are you an idiot? Compared to some, probably. Compared to you, unlikely. Do I need to provide the counterargument to my point for you? You [meaning me] are comparing apples and oranges. Obama did not actually leave D.C. to go on the majority of his golf outings and some of the golf outings occurred within vacation time; thus under your methodology, that golf outing would be counted twice, which is incorrect. For example, on his Hawaiian vacation he also golfed. Further, during a golf outing he is not not actually on "vacation," rather he is on his free time after his work day has ended. Lots of people do this. For example, a person might put in their 10 hours at work and then go golfing and have a drink. This is done in their free time and thus should not be counted whereas a person who is on vacation is temporarily away when he would normally be at work. What the fuck are you even talking about?

He's talking about how normal people after a hard day's work go to their local golf course to get a few rounds in...even though by the time they get off of work the sun is down. Not to mention how most people can't afford golf memberships, clubs, etc.

I don't think any viewer should go in expecting a heated debate. It's just a PR move and he needs to take advantage of it.
